Installing the Router
Singtel Fibre Broadband homes have two main setup configurations. Please identify your equipment type.
Router (i) - Setup with Optical Network Terminal (ONT)
In this setup, the Fibre Termination Point connects directly to an Optical Network Terminal (ONT). The ONT then connects to the Singtel TV Set-Top Box and the WiFi 7 Router.
Router (ii) - Setup with Optional Network Router (ONR)
In this setup, the Fibre Termination Point connects to an Optional Network Router (ONR). The ONR then connects to the Singtel TV Set-Top Box and the WiFi 7 Router.
Installation Steps:
- Insert the Power Adapter into the WiFi Router’s Power Port and plug it into the power outlet.
- Connect one end of the Ethernet cable to the LAN 1 port on the ONT or ONR. Connect the other end to the WAN port of the router. If you are using a XGS ONR, connect the Ethernet cable to the 10G LAN port on the ONR.
- Power up the router. It may take up to 5 minutes for the connection to establish, indicated by the LED turning solid green. Avoid tampering with the router during this setup process.
- A solid green LED signifies that your router has been successfully set up and is ready for use, either via WiFi or a wired LAN connection through the Ethernet port. The default WiFi username and password are printed on the device label located on the bottom of the router.
Optimal Placement
- Position the router in a central location within your home, ensuring it is unobstructed for the best signal coverage.
- To effectively eliminate WiFi dead spots and achieve optimal connection, consider adding more Singtel WiFi 7 Routers to your network.

Device Safety
- Keep the router away from heat sources, dusty, or damp environments.
- Before installation, turn off the power, unplug the power cord from the outlet, and ensure your hands are dry.
- Do not plug a phone jack connector into an Ethernet port, as this may damage the router.
Troubleshooting Steps
Follow these steps if you encounter connectivity issues:
- Turn your device's WiFi off and on again to reset the connection.
- If the issue persists, reboot the router by unplugging its power and plugging it back in.
- To perform a factory reset, press and hold the reset button located on the bottom of the router for at least 5 seconds, then release. The router will revert to its default factory settings.
