X3 Sound Mixer User Guide

One-stop Mixer Console For Streaming and Podcast On Computer & Mobile Devices

Product Overview

The X3 mixer is a multi-channel beginner audio mixer, offering an onboard, easy-to-use, all-in-one audio solution for online live streaming, podcasting, and gaming. It functions as an entertainment sound mixer, with audio quality suitable for these applications rather than professional studio use.

It features a compact design with a built-in LED screen, two large rotary adjustment knobs with RGB lighting effects, eight conventional rotary adjustment knobs, and twenty-four keys. These controls allow for easy adjustment and customization of audio, including 3-band EQ and reverbs, streamlining the mixing process without complex software or long learning curves. All audio and effects are controlled via hardware.

The X3 includes nine audio jacks, providing ample connectivity for home devices. It features a 1/4-inch jack, two 1/8-inch jacks for microphones, and a 3.5mm TRRS jack for headphone microphone input and real-time monitoring. Additionally, it has one USB-C jack and two 3.5mm TRRS jacks for outputting to computers, tablets, and smartphones. It is compatible with iOS, Android, and Windows systems.

Rear Panel Connections

The rear panel of the X3 mixer features the following ports:

Note: The mixer does not support connecting USB microphones via the USB-C port.

Tip: When the mixer's battery is low, it may produce significant noise. Charge the device promptly to resolve this.

Top Panel Controls

The top panel of the X3 mixer features various knobs and buttons for comprehensive audio control:

1. POWER/LOOPBACK Button:
Press and hold to power the device on or off. A short press toggles the LOOPBACK function. When enabled, audio sent to the mixer via USB from a PC is routed back to the PC, allowing PC audio resources (music, video, games) to be heard by the audience or recorded. When disabled, PC audio is only heard in monitoring headphones and not sent to the audience or recorded, preventing echoes. Only microphone audio is sent to the audience or recorded.
Battery Indicator Light:
A green light indicates the device is on. A red light indicates charging. The light turns off when fully charged.
2. B-T Button:
Press and hold for over 2 seconds to turn Bluetooth on or off. Bluetooth is enabled by default. The button light blinks while waiting for pairing and remains solid when successfully paired. A short press plays or pauses accompaniment music. This function is solely for Bluetooth music accompaniment.
3. Reverberation Knob:
Adjusts the reverb effect for RAP, KTV, and Specialty reverb modes. Fine-tuning is recommended in original sound mode.
4. Monitor Knob:
Adjusts the monitoring output volume for the Earphone and Headset jacks.
5. Recording Knob:
Adjusts the output volume for the two Live Streaming ports and the TYPE-C OTG port.
6. Voice Changer Knob:
Controls the voice-changing effect applied to the microphone input audio.
7. Sound effects Knob:
Adjusts the volume of both pre-set and user-recorded sound effects.
8. Accompaniment Knob:
Adjusts the input volume for accompaniment music sourced from Bluetooth, the Accompaniment port, or the TYPE-C OTG port.
9. Mic Low Knob:
Adjusts the bass frequencies of the microphone vocals.
10. Mic Mid Knob:
Adjusts the midrange frequencies of the microphone vocals.
11. Mic High Knob:
Adjusts the treble frequencies of the microphone vocals.
12. Mic total Vol Knob:
Adjusts the input volume for all microphone sources, including the Musical instrument port, Microphone ports (1, 2), and Headset port.
13. Original sound Button:
A short press switches the mixer to the original sound mode.
14. KTV Button:
A short press switches to karaoke sound mode, featuring a long reverb time effect.
15. Specialty Button:
A short press switches to professional singing reverb modes.
16. RAP Button:
A short press switches to MC sound mode, providing full and magnetic vocals.
17. Electronic music Button:

18. Lead singer Button:
A short press cycles through different vocal functions: Lead singing, Follow singing, Remove vocal, and Close. In "Lead singing" mode, vocals are heard in monitoring headphones for the first 60 seconds, then only accompaniment. In "Follow singing" mode, vocals are heard in headphones but not in the recording or live broadcast, with only accompaniment and microphone sound being transmitted. Note: Some accompaniments may not have vocals fully removed.
19. Noise reduction Button:
A short press toggles the noise reduction function, which blocks background noise to ensure clearer audio recording.
20. Dodge Button:
Toggles the auto ducking function. When active, the mixer automatically lowers the volume of accompaniment music when the user speaks and restores it when they stop speaking. This function is designed for podcasts or live streaming with music, not for voice calls.
21. Sound Effect Pads:
Eight fixed sound effect pads for triggering instant sounds to enhance streaming atmosphere.
22. 12-step auto tune indicator:
Indicates the currently selected key for the 12-step auto-tune function.
23. Customizable audio effects Buttons:
Four buttons allow users to record and save custom audio effects (up to 10 seconds each) via microphone, external audio input, or Bluetooth input. To record, press and hold a button for over 3 seconds. To delete, long-press a button with existing audio for over 3 seconds until the indicator flashes.
