How to Wear
Try Different Sizes for a Perfect Fit and Audio Performance
Select the ear tips (S/M/L) that provide the most comfortable and secure fit for your ears. Attach the chosen ear tips to the earbuds.
Insert and Adjust
Place the earbuds into your ears. Gently rotate them to ensure a snug and stable fit, optimizing audio performance.
First Time Use
Before first use, remove any protective film from the earbuds. Place both earbuds into the charging case to activate them.
Power On & Connect
Power On
Open the charging case. The earbuds will automatically power on and enter pairing mode.
Connect via Bluetooth
On your mobile device, enable Bluetooth. In the Bluetooth settings, select "JBL WAVE BEAM" to connect. For Android™ 6.0+ devices, Fast Pair functionality allows for quick connection and device linking to your Google Account.
Dual Connect
The JBL Wave Beam supports dual connect functionality, allowing for both stereo and mono listening modes.
- Stereo Mode: Use both the Left (L) and Right (R) earbuds for a full stereo audio experience.
- Mono Mode: Use either the Left (L) or Right (R) earbud independently. Place the unused earbud in the charging case.

Control your JBL Wave Beam earbuds with simple tap gestures. Advanced controls can be enabled by connecting your JBL Wave Beam to the JBL Headphones App.

VoiceAware
VoiceAware allows you to control the amount of your own voice you hear during calls. This feature can be adjusted via the JBL Headphones App with a slider from Low to High, enhancing your call experience.
Power Off
To power off the JBL Wave Beam earbuds, simply place them back into the charging case and close the lid. The earbuds will automatically disconnect and power down.
Manual Setup
Connect to a New Bluetooth Device
To connect to a new Bluetooth device, ensure the earbuds are in pairing mode (typically by holding a tap gesture for 5 seconds on either earbud). Then, select "JBL WAVE BEAM" from the Bluetooth settings on your new device.
Factory Reset
To perform a factory reset, place the earbuds in the charging case. Tap an earbud twice, then hold for 5 seconds. This will reset the earbuds to their original factory settings.
Do More with the App
The JBL Headphones App unlocks additional features and customization options for your JBL Wave Beam earbuds:
- Ambient Sound Control: Toggle between Ambient Aware (to hear your surroundings) and TalkThru (to lower music volume and amplify voices for conversations).
- Customized Gesture: Personalize tap and hold gestures for volume control or voice assistant activation.
- Equalizer: Adjust audio frequencies with presets like Jazz, Vocal, Bass, Extreme Bass, or create your own custom sound profile.
- Call Control: Manage call settings and accessibility.
Charging
To charge the JBL Wave Beam earbuds and charging case, connect the supplied USB-C cable to the charging case and a power source.
- Charging Time: Less than 2 hours from empty for a full charge.
- Quick Charge: A 10-minute charge provides up to 2 hours of music playtime.

Battery Lifespan Note
To prolong battery lifespan, fully charge the device at least once every 3 months. Battery life varies by use and settings.
