Copeland TraxOil OM3/OM4/OM5 Oil Management Systems: Operating Instructions

Introduction to the TraxOil Oil Management Systems

The Copeland TraxOil Oil Management Systems (OM3, OM4, and OM5) are designed to accurately measure and maintain the oil level in refrigeration compressors. These systems utilize a Hall-sensor and a magnetic float to continuously monitor the oil level.

Integrated electronics display the oil level via LED indicators and activate a solenoid valve to automatically inject oil into the compressor sump when needed. They are suitable for application in refrigeration systems compliant with EN 378.

Key Features and Safety

The systems offer precise oil level control and are compatible with a wide range of refrigerants, including HFC/HFO blends, CO2, and A2L refrigerants. Important warnings regarding installation and operation, especially concerning potential ignition sources and handling flammable refrigerants, are detailed within the manual.

Users are advised to consult the technical data for pressure ratings, voltage requirements, and medium compatibility to ensure safe and effective operation.
