LUNOS Universal Control with 5/W2U Switch: Mounting Humidity Sensor/LED
5/UNI-FT & RF - Mounting Humidity Sensor/LED on Switch 5/W2U
Step 1: Assign terminals correctly
This step details the correct terminal assignment for connecting the 5/UNI-FT module to the 5/W2U switch. The accompanying diagram illustrates the following:
- Switch 5/W2U Backside: Shows the rear of the switch with its terminal connections.
- Switch 5/W2U Front side: Displays the front of the switch, including its operational buttons.
- Module Components:
- Internal push button
- Coding switch
- Connection cable leading to the switch
- Humidity-temperature sensor
- LED indicator
- Wire Connections: The module connects to the switch using violet, grey, and orange wires, each corresponding to specific terminals.
- Connection Cable Instructions: Textual warnings state: "Do not shorten!" and "Do not extend!".
Step 2: Pierce the sticker on the back
This step guides the user on preparing the rear of the 5/W2U switch. The diagram shows:
- The back surface of the switch, featuring a sticker that includes a "CE" certification mark.
- A red arrow indicating the precise location to pierce the sticker, with the instruction "Pierce through the centre here".
Step 3: Insert humidity sensor/LED
This step describes the physical insertion of the humidity sensor and LED module into the switch. The diagram illustrates:
- The humidity sensor/LED module being carefully inserted into the 5/W2U switch.
- An instruction text stating: "Insert the sensor board completely".
Step 4: Install control unit and switch in flush-mounted box - done
This final step conceptually depicts the completed installation, showing the control unit and the 5/W2U switch properly housed within a standard flush-mounted electrical box.
Note: The 5/W2U switch is identified as being manufactured by Kopp, from their Paris series, in the arctic white color variant.
