Common Problems and Simple Troubleshooting

1) Unable to Boot Normally

  • Reason: Incorrect wiring (e.g., only 2 of the 3 power wires connected), blown fuse, or incorrect connection of power wires.
  • Troubleshooting: Ensure correct wiring (Yellow to +12V, Red to ACC/+12V, Black to GND/-). Check the fuse on the yellow wire. Try twisting yellow and red wires together and connecting to a 12V source. If it boots, the original car wiring may be at fault. If not, the unit may be faulty.

2) Automatic Shut-down

  • Reason: Incorrect cable connection (e.g., blue cable connected to power), or unstable voltage supply.
  • Troubleshooting: Verify wiring connections. Test with a stable 12V-5A power supply. If the issue persists, the unit may be faulty.

3) Noise

  • Reason: Insufficient speaker power or speaker cables are grounded.
  • Troubleshooting: Use speakers with adequate power. Ensure speaker cables are properly insulated and not grounded.

4) Remote Control Cannot Be Used

  • Reason: Dead battery in the remote control.
  • Troubleshooting: Test the remote using a phone camera (point remote at camera, press button; if light appears, battery is okay). Replace the battery if needed.

5) Settings Cannot Be Saved (No Memory)

  • Reason: Incorrect connection of the yellow and red power wires.
  • Troubleshooting: Ensure the yellow and red wires are connected correctly together (or as per specific wiring instructions).

6) Car Audio with Bluetooth Not Working

  • Troubleshooting: On your phone, search for "CAR-BT", connect, and use PIN "0000" if prompted.

7) Unit Emits Smoke

  • Reason: Internal circuit failure, likely a short circuit.
  • Troubleshooting: The unit requires professional repair. Do not attempt to replace fuses repeatedly.

8) Sound Adjustment Issues

  • Adjusting Sound: Use the volume knob.
  • Equalizer Settings: Access via the volume knob menu (SEL).
  • Sound Cannot Be Adjusted: Try resetting the unit or unplugging/replugging the power. If the volume knob is physically broken, it may need replacement.

9) No Display of Reversing Video

  • Reason: Incorrect or missing wiring connections for the camera.
  • Troubleshooting: Ensure the reverse control line (pink or brown) is connected to the positive pole of the 12V reverse lamp. Connect the camera's power to the reverse lamp positive and the video cable to the unit's reverse video input. Ensure the backup light's positive and negative are correctly connected to the camera.

10) USB Flash Drive Not Playing / Card Slot Issue

  • USB Playback: Format the USB drive to FAT32 and re-download files.
  • Card Slot: Ensure the memory card is inserted correctly and the slot is not damaged.

11) FM Radio Not Receiving Stations

  • Reason: Antenna plug not fully inserted, antenna disconnected, or wiring issue.
  • Troubleshooting: Ensure the antenna is properly connected. Try searching for stations using AMS or manual tuning. If problems persist, try inserting a metal strip into the antenna port as a temporary antenna.

12) No Sound Right After Installation

  • Reason: Wiring error or short-circuited speaker wires.
  • Troubleshooting: Check all speaker wire connections for shorts. Ensure the original car wiring matches the unit's speaker output configuration (each speaker requires two wires).

13) No Sound After a While

  • Reason: Speaker wires are short-circuited with iron, or the speaker itself is damaged.
  • Troubleshooting: Disconnect all speaker cables from the unit. Connect an external speaker to the unit's speaker output wires (e.g., gray and purple groups) to test. If sound is present, the car's speaker wiring or speakers are the issue. If no sound, the unit may be faulty.
