Safety Instructions

Read and follow all safety instructions:

• The product is not water-resistant; be careful during installation and use.
• Use the product only with the supplied power adapter.
• Be aware of static electricity during installation and use. Keep the product away from sharp objects or strongly corrosive chemicals.
• Avoid folding the LED components when bending the light strips during installation, as this can affect the product's lifespan.
• Remove nails, metal, or other conductive objects from the installation surface before attaching the light strip, as this can cause a short circuit.
• Do not install the light strip near heat sources.
• Do not allow children to install the light strip alone.
• Avoid installing the light strip near potentially dangerous sources (e.g., candles, liquid-filled objects).
• Unroll the light strips before turning them on.

Introduction

Thank you for choosing Govee RGBIC LED Strip Lights. This product includes a 5-meter RGBIC strip and supports app control. RGBIC is Govee's latest technology for lighting displays. With its advanced IC chips (independent control), each light strip segment can be independently adjusted, creating vibrant rainbow effects.

The control box features three buttons:

• Power Button: Turns the light on/off.
• Color Cycle Button: Press to cycle through 9 colors.
• Music Mode Button: Press to start music mode. Hold to cycle through 6 brightness levels.

Installing Your Device

Before You Install

1. Unpack the box and check all items listed in the packing list.
2. Turn on the light strip and check if it illuminates.

Installation Steps

1. Clean the surface to ensure it is clean and dry.
2. Peel off the protective film from the adhesive tape, stick the strip, and press it firmly.
3. Peel off the protective film from the control box and stick it. Position the control box near the music source for the best lighting effect.
4. Turn on and use the light strip.

Pairing Your Device with the Govee Home App

Pairing Instructions

1. Download the Govee Home App from the App Store (iOS devices) or Google Play (Android devices).
2. Turn on Bluetooth on your smartphone.
3. Open the app, tap the "+" symbol in the upper right corner, and search for "H617A".
4. Tap the device icon and follow the on-screen instructions to complete pairing.

App download options: Available on the App Store (Apple logo with "Download on the App Store" text) and Google Play (Google Play logo with "GET IT ON Google Play" text).

Troubleshooting

1. The adhesive tape is not strong enough.

   • Ensure the installation surface is clean and dry.
   • Press firmly on the strip after sticking it.
   • Reinforce the installation with additional clips and tapes.

2. Bluetooth connection fails.

   • Do not skip the Bluetooth connection in the app.
   • Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your smartphone.
   • Your smartphone may not be compatible with the Govee Home application. Try using another smartphone and then re-establish the connection.
   • Turn off the light strip and your smartphone, turn Bluetooth off and on again, then try again.
   • Ensure your smartphone is no further than 1m/3.28ft from the light strip when connecting.
   • Remove any obstacles between the light strip and your smartphone.

3. The light strip does not show the full selected color / some LED beads do not light up.

   • Contact the Govee support team for a quick product replacement.

4. The light strip cannot synchronize with the rhythm of my music.

   • Move the control box closer to the music source.
   • Clean the microphone on the control box and try again.

Old electrical appliances must not be disposed of together with residual waste, but must be disposed of separately. Disposal at communal collecting points by private persons is free. Usage Information

For ambiance lighting only. Not for illumination. This device uses a non-replaceable light source. When the light source reaches the end of its life cycle, this device should be replaced. The light source or separate control gear is not intended for use in other applications.

1. Do not connect the rope light to the supply while it is in the packing or wound onto a reel.
2. Do not use the rope light when covered or recessed into a surface.
3. Do not open or cut the rope light.

Battery Caution

CAUTION: RISK OF EXPLOSION IF BATTERY IS REPLACED BY AN INCORRECT TYPE. DISPOSE OF USED BATTERIES ACCORDING TO THE INSTRUCTIONS.
