Key Installation Points:
- Ventilation: For proper operation, the front grille must remain unobstructed. Built-in installations do not require additional airspace for the top, sides, or rear of the unit.
- Electrical Requirements: A dedicated 120V circuit with a separate ground wire is necessary. For built-in installations, ensure the electrical outlet and plug are completely recessed to allow the unit to sit flush against the rear wall. Always consult local and national electric codes.
- Cabinet Opening: To facilitate easier installation and removal, it is recommended that cabinet rough opening dimensions be increased by at least 1/4" beyond the product's specified dimensions.
- Placement: The unit must be positioned on a flat, level surface capable of supporting its full weight. To maintain optimal performance, avoid placing the appliance near heat sources or in direct sunlight.
- Door Clearance: If installing adjacent to a cabinet or wall that extends beyond the unit's front edge, a minimum of 2-1/2 inches of handle clearance is required. This allows for a 90° door swing, which is essential for full access to sliding shelves and interior contents.
