8.1 BATTERY CHARGING AC OR DC - FIG. 1
This torch/lantern will provide approximately 5 hours of continuous use when fully charged. As the charge diminishes, the light intensity will begin to reduce. The battery will require charging for approximately 8-10 hours before the first use and should be recharged before the battery is drained completely. Regular charging and discharging will prolong the life of the battery. Before charging ensure the on/off button is in the off position. Insert the pin from either the 12V DC charging lead or the 230V AC charging adaptor lead into the input point at the rear of the lamp.
WARNING! Ensure the torch is turned off before charging.
i Insert the jack plug from either the 230V AC charger or 12V DC charger into the power input socket .
ii Plug the 230V AC charger into a 230V~13 amp 3 pin socket. If using the 12V DC charger, plug into an appropriate 12V output socket.
iii The LED charger indicator will illuminate red for approximately 8 hours whilst charging.
iv The charging indicator turns green when a full charge cycle is completed.
NOTE:
If stored for emergencies, ensure the torch/lantern is fully charged and then recharge every four months regardless of use.
