Read the following instructions and follow them when using the bathtub to avoid damage to property and risk of injury. When storing, do not leave the bathtub in its original packaging in direct sunlight. Use the cover when not using the bathtub. If you suffer from heart problems or high blood pressure, do not use the bathtub. If you are pregnant, consult a doctor before using the bathtub. If you are undergoing medical treatment, consult a doctor before using the bathtub. About installation: · DO NOT place any electrical appliance within a 3 m radius of the bathtub (excluding the filtration and cooling system). · Installation and assembly must be carried out by adults. About use: · Keep the bathtub out of the reach of children. This bathtub may only be used by people aged 16 and over. · Maintain good water quality in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions. · Excessively long periods in the bathtub at low temperatures can have harmful effects on your health. Ideal for use at home, in the gym or on the move, this bathtub offers a professional recovery solution that's easily accessible and always at your disposal. 1.2. Indoor installation CAUTION: Do not install the bathtub near a bay window to protect the bathtub from the sun's rays! Failure to observe these rules may result in material damage or injury. If you decide to install the bathtub indoors, please follow these instructions. Install the bathtub on a levelled, non-slip surface. Install the bathtub close to a drainage system to avoid the risk of overflowing and to drain condensate from the cooling system. Note: Always clean the surface before installation! 2.2. Outdoor installation CAUTION: Failure to observe these rules may result in damage to property or personal injury. If you decide to install the bathtub outdoors, please follow these instructions. Install the bathtub on a flat, levelled surface, free from rough ground and aggressive vegetation. Install the bathtub in the shade or under a roof to protect it from the sun's rays. Install the bathtub on a surface capable of supporting 500 kg. Note: Always clean the surface before installation! 2.3. Assembling the bathtub 1. Unfold the inflatable bathtub on the site. 2. Ensure that the valve is in the closed position. 3. Connect one end of the inflation pipe to the manual air pump. 4. Connect the other end of the pipe to the air valve on the bathtub. EN | 21 2. INSTALLATION CAUTION: Do not exceed the maximum pressure indicated: 8 PSI. Recommended pressure: Wall - 5 PSI / Floor - 8 PSI 5. Inflate the bathtub to the recomended pressure (Wall: 5 PSI / Floor: 8 PSI). The bathtub should now be sufficiently rigid. 6. Remove the inflation pipe and close the air valve. 7. Connect the cooling system to the bathtub using the two (2) screw fittings. 8. Remove the two (2) caps inside the bathtub. 9. Insert the filter cartridge into the filter support. 10. Screw the filter support onto the low suction connection inside the bathtub. The empty bathtub may seem unstable. The bathtub will regain its stability once it has been filled with water. 6 7 8 2.4. Filling the bathtub with water 9 10 CAUTION: Do not leave the bathtub unattended while it is being filled with water. Respect the indicated filling level, between the minimum and maximum water level, to avoid the risk of the bathtub overflowing. Do not move the bathtub by the handles when it is full of water. 1. Check that the inner (a) and outer (b) drain caps are tightly closed. (a) (b) 2. Fill the bathtub to the level indicated between the minimum and maximum water level. Ideal water level 22 | EN Congratulations! Your bathtub is ready. EN 3. USE 3.1. Precautions CAUTION: Failure to comply with these rules may, in some cases, result in injury or death. Consult a doctor before using the bathtub. Always rinse off before getting into the bath. Limit the duration of the ice bath to 10-15 minutes. Drink enough water before and after the ice bath. Warm up gradually after the bath. Have someone nearby to help you if you feel unwell. 3.2. Starting up CAUTION: Do not leave the bathtub unattended when filling with water. Keep electrical appliances more than 3 m away from the bathtub (excluding the filtration and cooling system). 1. Fill the bathtub. 2. Start the cooling system to reach the desired temperature. 3. Use a thermometer to check the water temperature or look at the values displayed on the control panel. CAUTION: The maximum capacity of this bathtub is limited to one (1) adult. 4. Enter the bathtub gradually. We recommend starting with short periods: between 5 and 10 minutes. Reusing your bathtub To reuse your bathtub: 1. Check the condition of your bathtub and carry out repairs if necessary. (See "4.6. Repairing the bathtub", page 25) 2. Follow the installation instructions ""2. Installation", page 21. 3. Follow the instructions for starting up "3. Use", page 23. 3.3. Bathtub cover CAUTION: The bathtub must be covered with the protective cover after each use and the cover must be attached to the wall using the safety buckles. The bathtub cover helps to maintain the water temperature constant and the bathtub safe. The bathtub cover has four safety buckles. Each safety buckle is fitted with a locking system; when the buckle is closed, the upward latch locks the buckle, while the downward latch unlocks it. EN | 23 4. MAINTENANCE 4.1. Water care CAUTION: Poor water quality can damage your health and the integrity of your liner. Depending on frequency and conditions of use: Clean the filter cartridge regularly (every 1 to 2 weeks). Replace the filter cartridge every 1 or 2 months. Change the water in the bathtub every 15 to 30 days. Check the water parameters before each use of the bathtub, or at least once a week using the test kit (not supplied). Use disinfection products that are suitable for the bathtub. Treatment products must be used with care, and it is therefore essential to refer to their instructions for use. Water balance The pH must be maintained between 7 and 7.4. Disinfection Refer to the results of the tests carried out with the test kit (not supplied) to adjust and disinfect the water in your bathtub, depending on your choice of disinfectant (chrome, bromine, active oxygen...). CAUTION: Always rinse before entering the bathtub. 4.2. Filter cartridge maintenance and replacement CAUTION: A clogged or punctured filter cartridge can contaminate the bathtub water and damage the circulation pump. 1. Turn the filter support anti-clockwise to unscrew it. 2. Remove the filter cartridge from its holder. 3. Rinse the filter cartridge with a garden pipe. If the filter cartridge remains dirty and discoloured, replace the filter cartridge. 4. Replace the filter cartridge in its support. 5. Screw the filter support back on. 1 2 3 45 4.3. Emptying the bathtub 1. Check that the drain at the bottom of the bathtub is plugged. 2. Unscrew the drain plug on the outside of the bathtub. 3. Connect the drain pipe to your drainage system. 4. Remove the inner stopper plug to drain all the water from the bathtub. Once drained, the bathtub can be cleaned with soap and water. 24 | EN Glue EN 4. MAINTENANCE 4.4. Cleaning the bathtub 1. Use liquid soap, water, and a sponge. 2. Place the bathtub on a flat surface. 3. Cover the bathtub with soapy water. 4. Wipe the entire bathtub with a sponge. 5. Rinse and dry your bathtub. 4.5. Storing the bathtub CAUTION: The bathtub must be completely dry before storing. 1. Disconnect the cooling system. 2. Remove the filter cartridge. 3. Wipe the bathtub with a towel and leave to dry for 24 hours. 4. Unscrew the air valve to deflate the bathtub. 5. Fold up the inflatable bathtub. We recommend storing the bathtub in its original packaging in a place with a constant temperature and no humidity. 4.6. Repairing the bathtub Small holes and punctures can be repaired using the repair kit supplied with the bathtub. Leak detection 1. Bring liquid soap, water, and a sponge. 2. Place the bathtub on a flat surface. 3. Inflate the bathtub to the recommended pressure (Wall: 5 PSI / Floor: 8 PSI). 4. Cover the bathtub with soapy water. 5. Sponge the entire bathtub. Bubbles will form where the leak is. 6. Rinse and dry your bathtub. 7. Define a 3 cm zone around the leak and mark it with a pen or felt-tip pen. Repair kit 1. Deflate the bathtub. 2. Carefully clean the area around the leak. 3. Cut a round piece of repair material. This should be larger than the damaged area. 4. Apply adhesive under the patch and around the area to be repaired. 5. Position the patch over the damaged area and press firmly. 6. Leave to dry for 12 to 24 hours. 1 Glue 3 4 24H 56 7. Once dry, apply glue around the patch to ensure a complete seal. 8. Allow to dry for four (4) hours. EN | 25 5. GUARANTEE Poolstar warrants to the original owner against defects in materials and workmanship in this product for a period of two (2) years. The effective date of the guarantee is the date of the first invoice. The guarantee does not apply in the following cases: · Malfunction or damage resulting from installation, use or repair that does not comply with the safety instructions. · Malfunction or damage caused by an unsuitable chemical environment for the product. · Malfunctions or damage resulting from conditions unsuitable for the intended use of this product. · Damage caused by negligence, accident or force majeure. · Malfunction or damage resulting from the use of unauthorised accessories. Guaranteed parts will be replaced or repaired at Poolstar's discretion. Defective parts must be returned to our workshops within the guarantee period to be covered.
