Model: QNED81 Series
Introduction
This manual provides essential information for operating your LG LED TV. Please read it carefully before use and keep it for future reference. The model and serial number are located on the back and side of the product.

Safety Instructions
WARNING: To reduce the risk of fire and electric shock, do not expose this product to rain or moisture. Keep open flames away from the product.
- Avoid environments with direct sunlight, high humidity, heat sources, steam, oil, rain, wind, flammable objects, or excessive dust.
- Ensure proper ventilation; do not install in confined spaces or cover ventilation openings.
- Protect the power cord from damage and ensure plugs are securely connected.
- Do not allow children to climb or cling onto the TV.
- Ground outdoor antennas properly to avoid electrical hazards.
- Unplug the product immediately if it is damaged, has liquid inside, emits smoke or odors, or during lightning storms.
- Do not use high voltage electrical equipment near the TV.
- Do not modify the product without authorization. Use only LG-approved accessories.
- Handle the AC adapter carefully to avoid damage.
- Do not touch the TV with wet hands.
- Store batteries out of reach of children. Do not short circuit, disassemble, or overheat batteries.
Moving the TV: Turn off, unplug, and remove all cables before moving. Use at least two people for larger TVs. Avoid impact and dropping objects onto the screen. Do not press or scratch the screen.
Cleaning: Unplug the power cord and wipe gently with a soft, dry cloth. Do not spray liquids directly or use harsh chemicals.
Installation
Mounting on the Table:
- Lift and tilt the TV upright on a table.
- Leave at least 10 cm space from the wall for ventilation.
- Connect the power cord to a wall outlet.
Securing TV to the Wall:
- Attach eye-bolts or wall brackets to the back of the TV.
- Mount wall brackets to the wall, matching the location of the eye-bolts.
- Connect eye-bolts and wall brackets securely with a sturdy rope (kept horizontal).
Wall Mounting: Attach an optional VESA-compatible wall mount bracket to the rear of the TV. Ensure it is securely mounted to a solid wall perpendicular to the floor. LG recommends professional installation. Connect all cables before installing fixed wall mounts. Remove the stand before wall mounting.
Turning on the TV
- Power On: Press the button.
- Power Off: Press and hold the button.
- Menu Control: Press the button when the TV is on.
- Menu Selection: Press and hold the button.
Note: Initial TV setup may take a few minutes. On-Screen Display (OSD) may differ slightly from the manual.
Connections
Connect external devices such as Blu-ray players, HD receivers, PCs, and gaming consoles to the TV using appropriate cables (e.g., HDMI, USB). Switch input modes to select the desired external device.
HDMI: Use certified HDMI cables. Ensure both the TV and external device are off and unplugged before connecting. For optimal clarity, ensure the connected device supports HDMI Deep Color; if issues arise, disable this setting in the TV's menu.
USB: Some USB hubs may not be supported; connect USB devices directly to the TV if necessary. Use a USB 2.0 extension cable if the USB device does not fit the port.
IR Blaster: Control external devices like set-top boxes and Blu-ray players using the IR Blaster. Connect the cable to the IR Blaster port and configure universal control settings.
PC Mode: If experiencing noise or display issues when connected to a PC, adjust resolution, refresh rate, brightness, or contrast settings. Performance may vary depending on the PC's graphics card and performance for Ultra HD content.
LAN: Use a CAT 7 cable for high-speed Internet transmission if a LAN port is provided.
Specifications
Wireless Module (LGSBWAC95 / LGSBWAC03): Supports Wireless LAN (IEEE 802.11a/b/g/n/ac) and Bluetooth. Frequency ranges and output power are specified. Ensure a minimum distance of 20 cm between the device and the body for safe operation.
Broadcasting Specifications: Supports Digital TV (ISDB-T) and Analogue TV (NTSC-M). Maximum storable programs: 3,000. External antenna impedance: 75Ω.
Environment Condition: Operating Temperature: 0 °C to 40 °C; Operating Humidity: Less than 80%. Storage Temperature: -20 °C to 60 °C; Storage Humidity: Less than 85%.
Energy Information: Measured in accordance with IEC 62087. Actual consumption may vary based on content and settings. Refer to the product label for power supply and consumption details.

Troubleshooting
- Cannot control the TV with the remote control: Check remote sensor, obstacles, battery status, and ensure the TV is on.
- No image display and no sound: Check power cord connection, wall outlet, and power control settings.
- The TV turns off suddenly: Check auto-off settings or if the TV is turning off due to inactivity.
- When connecting to PC (HDMI), no signal is detected: Reconnect the HDMI cable, restart the PC with the TV on.
- Abnormal Display: Minor flickering upon startup is normal. Small colored dots (1 ppm) on the panel are characteristic and not a malfunction. Panel brightness and color may vary by viewing angle. Image sticking can occur with prolonged display of static images.
- Generated Sound: "Cracking" noise is due to plastic thermal contraction. Low-level humming or buzzing from the electrical circuit is normal and does not affect performance.
Regulatory Information
WARNING! (STABILITY HAZARD): Televisions can fall, causing serious injury. Always use recommended stands or mounting methods, ensure furniture can support the TV, and educate children about climbing hazards. Secure cords and cables to prevent tripping. Never place the TV in an unstable location or on tall furniture without anchoring. Avoid placing the TV on cloth or materials that could cause instability. Keep tempting items for children away from the top of the TV or furniture.
