DANGER: Water temperatures over 125°F (52°C) can cause severe burns instantly or even death from scalds. Children, the disabled, and the elderly are at the highest risk of being scalded. Always consult the instruction manual before adjusting the temperature on the water heater. Always check the water temperature before bathing or showering.
Press and hold the [power button] for 5 seconds to switch between Celsius & Fahrenheit.
Touch [increase temperature button] for higher temperatures (up to 131°F (55°C)) and [decrease temperature button] for lower temperatures (down to 86°F (30°C)), which will be displayed on the screen above.
NOTICE: Mixing valves are recommended to reduce the point-of-use water temperature by mixing hot and cold water in the branch water lines. It is recommended that a mixing valve compliant with the Standard for Temperature Actuated Mixing Valves for Hot Water Distribution Systems, ASSE 1017, be installed.

Before installing, debugging, using, maintaining, or repairing this tankless electric water heater, please take the time to read and thoroughly understand the installation and safety manual. This manual contains important safety information and instructions.
Important Information
- This water heater must be grounded.
- The unit should be installed by a qualified electrician or plumber in accordance with federal, state, and local electrical and plumbing codes.
- This water heater is designed to provide domestic hot water for household use and can supply multiple outlets.
- Disconnect the power supply when the water heater is not in use to avoid potential hazards.
General Warnings
DANGER: The water heater will not be used for an extended period during winter, drain the water to prevent freezing, which could damage the unit. Always cut off the power supply before draining.
Keep this manual after installation. You may need it later for additional information and support.
The manufacturer and/or distributor is not responsible for any losses resulting from failure to comply with the requirements of this manual or from faulty operation, including but not limited to electrical leakage, water leakage, and other consequences.

Product Warranty
Ranein warrants this water heater to be free of defects in materials and/or workmanship for a period of two (2) years, starting from the day the product is purchased. During this 2-year warranty period, Ranein will, at its discretion and at no charge to the customer, repair or replace the product if found defective, with either a new or reconditioned product. This warranty does not cover the costs of removal or installation.
Warranty services provided will not extend the warranty period nor initiate a new warranty period. All return goods must be shipped with transportation charges prepaid.
This warranty does not cover defects arising from improper installation or incorrect usage, improper operating conditions, or defective maintenance or repair work. Normal wear and tear, such as lime scaling, is also excluded under this warranty. The warranty will not be valid if the issue is caused by extreme conditions of drinking water.
This warranty does not include compensation, withdrawal from the agreement, price reduction, or reimbursement for any consequential losses due to defects.
The owner, not Ranein nor its agents/representatives, shall be liable for and shall pay for all field charges for labor or other expenses incurred in the removal and/or repair of the water heater or any expenses incurred by the owner in repairing the water heater.
User Instructions
Warning:
- To ensure your safety and that of others, carefully read the installation and user instructions before using the unit for the first time. Failure to comply with the instructions may result in property damage, serious injury, or death.
- DO NOT install this unit in a location where it may be exposed to freezing temperatures. If the water inside the tankless water heater freezes, it can cause severe and permanent damage that is not covered under the warranty.
- Water temperatures over 125°F (52°C) can cause severe scalding. If the set temperature of the unit is too high, hot water scalding may occur. Children, disabled persons, or the elderly in small households should set the temperature of the product below 113°F (45°C) to prevent harm from hot water or use mixed hot and cold water.
- When children or persons with limited physical, sensory, or mental capabilities are allowed to control this appliance, ensure that this happens only under supervision or after appropriate instructions by a responsible person. Children should be supervised to ensure they do not play with the appliance.
- This unit has more than one power-supply connection point. Disconnect all power supplies before servicing.
- To avoid damage, keep the unit dry. Keep it away from direct sunlight, moisture, dust, steam, and other liquids. Do not install this unit in places with water leaks (such as under air conditioning lines that might leak or condense moisture or water pipes).
- The outlet water pipe can get very hot. Ensure that the outlet water pipe is out of children's reach and is insulated.
- This product is designed only to heat water. Do not use it to heat any other liquids. Damage caused by poor water quality is not covered by the warranty.
- Make sure all circuit breakers and disconnect switches are turned off before installation and maintenance.
- Do not store flammable or explosive materials near the water heater.
- The water heater will produce steam or high-temperature water and may cause severe burns if operated without water. Always ensure the unit is filled with water before use. If dry burning occurs, immediately disconnect the power and water supply, stop using the unit, and call the service hotline for repair.
- After installation and use, regularly check and maintain the water heater. If any abnormality is detected, stop using it immediately and contact the service hotline for repair.
- If any part is soaked in water, it should be inspected or repaired by a professional before use.
- Do not use damaged wires, aged cables, or loose or improperly fixed power sockets. Doing so may result in electric shock, short circuits, fires, and other accidents.
- If there is any abnormal situation with the grounding system outside of the product, stop using the water heater immediately, unplug or disconnect all power supply circuits, and call the service hotline for repair.

Operation Instructions
Power On
When the mains power supply is switched on, the buzzer will beep once, and all the indicators will light up for three seconds before turning off, except for the power indicator. The power indicator will be green, while the heating indicator and display screen will remain off.
Operation
- Press the power button (a beep will be heard) to turn on the water heater. The LED display will light up, showing the actual outlet water temperature. The heating indicator will turn red when the unit is heating. Note: The unit will not operate, and the heating indicator will not light up if there is no water flow, or if the water flow does not meet the required start-up conditions (0.4 GPM / 1.5 L/min to 0.79 GPM / 3.0 L/min).
- If the unit is used frequently with short intervals in between, initially, a short burst of very hot water may flow out. Wait a few seconds for the water to cool down to the set temperature before using. Caution: Regularly clean the inlet filter and shower head to maintain adequate water flow.
Temperature Control
In the heating state, the water temperature can be adjusted using the [increase temperature button] and [decrease temperature button]. The [increase temperature button] increases the outlet temperature, while the [decrease temperature button] lowers it. The temperature can be set between 86°F (30°C) and 131°F (55°C). When the setting reaches the maximum or minimum temperature, it will not change further.
Fahrenheit / Celsius Switch
- The factory set temperature of the unit is in Fahrenheit.
- In the heating state, press and hold the [power button] for 5 seconds. The display will switch between Fahrenheit and Celsius.
- When Fahrenheit is displayed, the last character will show "F." When Celsius is displayed, the last character will show "C."
NOTICE: When the outlet water temperature reaches 167°F (75°C), the unit will automatically stop heating.

- When installing or using any high-voltage electrical appliance, always follow basic safety precautions.
- DO NOT install this unit in a location where it may be subject to freezing temperatures. If the water inside the tankless water heater freezes, it may cause severe and permanent damage that is not covered under the warranty.
- This unit has more than one power-supply connection point. Disconnect all power supplies before servicing.
- To avoid damage, keep the unit dry. Keep it away from direct sunlight, moisture, dust, steam, and other liquids. Do not install this unit in places prone to water leaks (e.g., under air conditioning lines that may leak or condense moisture, or near water pipes) or areas exposed to water spray.
- Ensure the water heater is out of the reach of children to prevent them from adjusting the temperature.
- The outlet water pipe can get very hot. Make sure the outlet pipe is out of the reach of children and is insulated.
- Damage caused by water quality issues is not covered under the warranty.
- Ensure all circuit breakers and disconnect switches are turned off before installation and maintenance.
- Piping treated with boiler seal, chromates, or other chemicals is not allowed for use.
- A dedicated branch circuit must be used for the water heater's electrical connection. Verify that the voltage, circuit breaker, wire diameter, electrical switch, etc., meet the water heater's requirements and ensure all connections are secure.
- If the pressure of the inlet water supply system exceeds 150 PSI, install a pressure relief valve between the valve and the water heater. The pressure relief valve must be equipped with a diversion pipe that continuously slopes downward. Water overflow from the drain pipe must be discharged into a floor drain.
- The installation area of the water heater must be well-drained. The floor should have a floor drain nearby, and the installation area should ensure that any leaks from the water heater or joints will not damage surrounding items or the building below.
- If the installation personnel find that the power supply in the user's home is not up to standard, a leakage protector should be installed in the water heater's circuit.
- Attentions: This water heater must be connected to a reliable earth connection at all times, and ground wire and neutral line should be strictly separated.

Mounting Your Water Heater
Before Mounting:
- THE UNIT MUST BE INSTALLED BY A QUALIFIED ELECTRICAL ENGINEER
- The wall used for installation must be firm, solid, and capable of bearing at least four times the weight of the water heater.
- Indoor installation only. Do not install the water heater near flammable or volatile substances, or in areas with strong magnetic fields. The unit must be installed in a vertical position with the water pipe ports facing downward.
- Ensure that the external power harness and air openings meet standard requirements.
- Gloves are required during installation.
Installation Location
There should be adequate space around the unit for both installation and future maintenance.
Suggested Clearances:
- a. Side gap: Minimum 15" (381mm)
- b. Top gap: Minimum 12" (305mm)
- c. Bottom gap: Keep the distance out of reach of children.

Installation Guide
- Mark the positions for the mounting holes on the wall as indicated in the installation template.
- Drill four mounting holes (Ø6x32mm) at the marked positions.
- Insert expansion bolts into the drilled holes.
- Insert four screws into the upper four holes.
Note: Ensure that the mounting surface is solid and firm, and check that the unit is level before tightening the screws.
Warning: The electrical components inside the water heater may cause serious personal injury or even death due to electric shock. Make sure the front cover is installed correctly and securely. Do not remove the front cover unless for installation or maintenance purposes.
Plumbing Installation
Caution: Plumbing installation must be completed before electrical installation.
Warning: It is the responsibility of the service technician to ensure the water supply to the equipment is protected against backflow by an air gap as defined in ANSI/ASME A112.1.2-1979, or by an approved vacuum breaker or another method proven effective by testing.
Warning: Pipe dope or PVC/CPVC primer and glue must not be used on the threads of the outlet and inlet fittings, as these chemicals can damage the nipples and cause leaks. Only thread sealing tape is allowed.
Suggestion: To avoid property damage caused by leakage (a low probability event), install the unit in a location with a floor drain.
Suggestion: Install a valve (not included) at the inlet pipe for future maintenance.
Warning: If the inlet water supply pressure exceeds 130 PSI, install a pressure relief valve between the valve and the unit.
Operating Instructions
IMPORTANT WARNING: Open the water source and allow water to flow through the water heater for at least 2 to 3 minutes. This will purge air from the unit and must be done before turning on the power. Failure to do so may cause serious damage to the heating elements.
- Open the water faucet and allow water to flow for 3 minutes until the flow is continuous and all air is purged from the water pipes.
- Turn on the circuit breaker to supply electrical power to the unit.
- After the unit is powered on, a beep sound will be heard, and the LED will light up and stay on. If there are no further operations, the appliance will remain in standby mode.
- Press the Power button on the unit to turn the appliance ON/OFF. Press and hold the [increase temperature button] to adjust the outlet water temperature. The temperature range is 86-131°F (30-55°C).
- When the unit is operating, the LED will display information such as "shower head spraying," "HEAT," "water flow rate," and the water temperature.
- To change the temperature display settings, turn off the unit using the on-screen [power button]. Then press and hold the same button for about 3 seconds. Once the setting change appears, press the [power button] again to restart the unit.
- If the unit has been paused, you may initially get a short burst of very hot water when turning it on again. Run the water for a few seconds to let the temperature stabilize. Check the water temperature with your hand before use.
- The unit has an automatic memory function to avoid repetitive adjustments. When you turn on the appliance, the default temperature setting will be the same as the last setting.
- If the unit is not used during the winter, drain the water completely to prevent freezing of the heater.
- Clean the inlet filter periodically to maintain proper water flow.
Normal Maintenance
Note: Do not attempt to repair this water heater yourself if it is not functioning properly. Contact a technician for assistance. Always turn off the power supply before performing any operations.
To ensure the consistent maximum performance of the unit, it is recommended to follow these instructions:
- Periodically remove any scales or dirt that may accumulate at the filter or gasket of the inlet pipe.
- The built-in filter and flow sensor at the inlet connection should be cleaned periodically. Make sure to cut off the water supply before performing this maintenance. If the water heater is not heating at all, contact RANEIN service and provide a video or other detailed information to receive professional assistance.
Important Note:
- Any maintenance performed on the water heater unit may introduce air into the plumbing pipes. It is important to purge all the air before powering the unit on again. Failure to do so could cause serious damage to the heating element.
- If you have a water supply with a high level of mineralization (hard water), you should increase the frequency of maintenance. Regularly check the descaling device to ensure it is functioning properly.
- Do not use thinner, alcohol, petrol, or any other organic solvents to clean the unit. Use only a damp cloth with mild detergent.
Troubleshooting

Electrical Installation
- Connect each group of power wires to a circuit breaker in pairs (as shown below). Ensure that each circuit breaker is connected to one group of L1 and L2 wires.
- When connecting the power cords to the terminal block, make sure the wires and the electric conductors inside the terminal block are in full contact. Tighten the screws securely. Loose connections may cause electrical short circuits and/or damage the terminal block.
- Double-check that the wiring from the main circuit breaker to the water heater is correct. If the wires are connected incorrectly, the unit will not function properly and may pose a safety risk.
- Check the earth resistance and confirm that there is proper earth continuity.
- Ensure all air has been purged from the water lines before turning on the power to the unit.
