OPERATION
Use the pool's current light switch to turn "ON" and "OFF" your new PureWhite lamp.

J&J ELECTRONICS, LLC 3-YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY

J&J Electronics, LLC ("J&J") warrants the above-referenced model numbers of PureWhite In-Ground Pool Lamp (the "Product") to be free from defects in material and workmanship, under normal use, conditions and service, for a period of three (3) years from the original date of purchase, subject to the terms specified herein. If during the first twenty-four (24) months of the warranty period, the Product fails to operate due to a defect in material or workmanship, J&J will, at its option, repair or replace the Product at no charge. If during months twenty-five (25) through thirty-six (36), the Product fails to operate due to a defect in material or workmanship, J&J will grant the purchaser a pro-rated credit1 for purchase of a J&J replacement part, as the purchaser's sole remedy. Pro-rated credit is calculated as follows:

1. Credit is only redeemable by the purchaser through J&J and will be applied against the current MSRP of the product purchased.
2. Product Price is the price at which the product was purchased as stated on the purchaser's invoice and may not exceed the MSRP for the product at the time of the purchase.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS This warranty is available to the original purchaser of the product(s) only. This warranty applies only when products are properly installed in an in-ground pool; any other use voids the warranty. Products must be used in lighting equipment designed and approved for the application and in environmental conditions within the normal specified operating range. This warranty does not apply to any abnormal use of product(s), use in violation of any applicable standard, code or instructions for use in installations including those contained in the latest National Electrical Code (NEC), the Standards for Safety of Underwriters Laboratory, Inc. (UL), Standards for the American National Standards Institute (ANSI). This warranty will not apply in the event of conditions demonstrating abnormal use or stress, freezing, operating when not fully submerged, under/over voltage/current condition, excessive switching cycles or operating hours or outside the recommended operation conditions. This warranty does not apply to color shifts or dimming caused by emissions and/ or LED color shifts and dimming that naturally occurs over time. Warranty conditions: If the product operates for 15 or more hours per day or continuously for 24 hours per day, the product warranty period stated shall be reduced to half the stated period. This warranty does not cover damage occurring during shipment, damage or failure resulting from alteration, accident, acts of God, theft, abuse, negligent installation, improper service, unauthorized repairs, freezing or where adequate care has not been taken to prevent damage to the product(s). Tampering with any internal component of this product(s) will void the warranty. This warranty gives you specific rights. You may have other rights that vary according to the laws of your state.

LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
THE FOREGOING SHALL CONSTITUTE THE EXCLUSIVE REMEDY OF THE PURCHASER AND IS IN LIEU OF ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING ALL WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND ALL WARRANTIES ARISING FROM COURSE OF DEALING OR USAGE OR TRADE. This owner's manual contains important information on installing and using your new PureWhite Replacement LED In-Ground Pool or Spa lamp. PureWhite Replacement LED In-Ground Pool and spa lamps are available in 12VAC (low voltage) and 120VAC models as indicated on the product packaging. Each lamp has a screw-in Edison base.
ATTENTION 12V PUREWHITE OWNERS!
A socket voltage range of 12.0 ­15.0 will achieve optimal brightness. To verify the voltage, at the lamp socket, measure the open circuit voltage (no lamp in the socket).
DANGER! RISK OF ELECTRICAL SHOCK OR ELECTROCUTION!
Always disconnect power to the pool light at the circuit breaker panel before attempting to service the lamp. Failure to do so could result in serious injury or death due to electrical shock. Refer to the original manufacturer's pool light installation manual before proceeding. As with any electrical device, installation and service should always be performed by a qualified individual. This device is not intended for use in anything other than in-ground pools.
RATED LAMP LIFE
The illumination generated by the PureWhite Replacement LED In-Ground Pool lamp is based on Light Emitting Diode (LED) technology. The average expected lamp life is rated up to 50,000 elapsed time hours under normal operating conditions. [Temperature: 33°F to 95°F (1°C to 35°C), Humidity: 0-95% non-condensing].
SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
· Do not open, service or tamper with any internal component of the PureWhite Replacement LED In-Ground Pool lamp. Doing so will void the warranty. Follow each instruction in this owner's manual and pay careful attention to all warnings. 1

· Do not directly expose or immerse the PureWhite Replacement LED In-Ground Pool lamp in water without containing it in a proper, watertight, NRTL (nationally recognized testing laboratory) pool light housing and niche assembly.
· Keep the pool light housing dry. · Handle the PureWhite Replacement LED In-Ground Pool lamp with care. Be careful not to drop the unit. IMPORTANT NOTE: PureWhite lamps are recommended for installation by a qualified pool professional.

INSTALLATION
The installation steps in this owner's manual are intended as guidelines. For specific instructions on how to replace a pool lamp, please refer to the original manufacturer's pool light installation manual before proceeding. PureWhite Replacement LED In-Ground pool and spa lamps must be installed in a compatible NRTL pool light housing.

Hayward® AstroliteTM SP058 & SP059 Housing ­ Use replacement gasket specified by manufacturer. Pentair® Amerlite 784 Series & SpaBriteTM Series ­ Requires installation with included J&J Gasket. Jacuzzi® Full MoonTM ­ Use replacement gasket specified by manufacturer. Sta-Rite® SwimQuipTM Series 0508 ­ Requires installation with included J&J Gasket.

WARNING
READ THIS BEFORE ATTEMPTING INSTALLATION. Your PureWhite lamp is not an ordinary light bulb. It is a valuable electronic device that is not designed to come in direct contact with water. An improper installation that results in water leakage into the pool light housing can permanently damage the PureWhite lamp. Please read these installation steps and the original manufacturer's pool light installation manual carefully before proceeding.

STEP 1

Remove light housing from niche. Make sure power to the pool is tuned off at the circuit breaker. Carefully remove the existing light house from the niche assembly and place it on the pool deck. There should be enough power cord to do this easily. If there is not enough power cord to allow the light housing to reach the pool deck surface, call your local pool service company.

WARNING
VERIFY THAT YOUR PUREWHITE LAMP VOLTAGE RATING (120VAC OR 12VAC) MATCHES YOUR ELECTRICAL SYSTEM'S VOLTAGE REQUIREMENTS BEFORE PROCEEDING WITH INSTALLATION.
STEP 2
Remove old lamp. Access the old lamp according to the original manufacturer's pool light installation manual. Remove the screws and/or loosen the clamp that holds the face plate and lens in place. Carefully remove the lens from the pool light housing. Take care not to damage the surface of the light housing body that makes contact with the rubber gasket.
STEP 3
Inspect your light housing for signs of wear. Inspect the rubber grommet where the power cord enters the light for excessive deterioration. Inspect the light housing, the tensioning clamp, and face ring for warping, dents and excessive rust. Do not install PureWhite into a pool light housing that appears to be worn out.

STEP 4
Dry the light housing and lens. Make sure the inside of the light housing and glass lens are completely dry by wiping them down with a clean rag.
STEP 5
Instal PureWhite lamp. Remove the old lamp and discard. Carefully screw the PureWhite lamp into the socket.
STEP 6
Reassemble the light housing. Proceed by cleaning any gasket residue from the light housing body. A clean surface is necessary for the new gasket to seat properly and prevent leakage. Install the new gasket onto the glass lens.

WARNING

ALWAYS USE A NEW LENS GASKET WHENEVER REASSEMBLING YOUR POOL LIGHT HOUSING. Failure to install a new lens gasket could result in water leakage which can permanently damage the PureWhite lamp and cause serious injury or death due to electrical shock.

The product warranty is voided if the proper gasket is not installed. See the "Gasket Compatibility" section for details. Set the lens and faceplate in the light housing and re-assemble according to the light housing manufacturer's specification. Tighten the screws or clamp slightly, allowing the gasket to seal evenly.

STEP 7

Submerge assembled light into the water. Once the screws or clamp are tight, submerge the assembled light housing in the water and visually check that air bubbles are not escaping from the gasket area. Should bubbles appear, immediately remove the light housing from the water and reset the gasket and lens. Once you are satisfied that there are no air leaks, complete the installation by wrapping the cord around the light housing and re-attaching the light housing to the nice assembly.

STEP 8

Check for air bubbles when light is turned ON.

Reconnect power to the pool light by resetting the circuit breaker to the "ON" position. Go back to

the light location and check for air bubbles rising to the surface from the pool light housing for at least

10 minutes. It is important that the lamp is turned on during this time. If you do not see air bubbles

rising to the surface at any time during the 10-minute inspection process, the housing is holding

its water tight seal and the installation is complete. You are ready to enjoy your new PureWhite

Replacement LED In-Ground Pool lamp. If you do see air bubbles rising to the surface at any time

during the inspection process, immediately remove the PureWhite lamp form the housing, dry it

completely and reset the gasket and lens. Make sure that the PureWhite lamp and light housing are

completely dry before reassembling. If the pool light housing continually leaks water after 2 or more

attempts at installation, replacement of the pool light housing may be necessary. Please read the J&J

Electronics "PureWhite Quick Start Guide" for further installation device.

manufacturer's installation manual for further reference.

¡ADVERTENCIA!

PASO 1

Retire la carcasa de la luz del nicho. Asegúrese de que la alimentación de la piscina esté apagada en el disyuntor. Quite con cuidado la carcasa de luz existente del conjunto de nicho y colóquela en la cubierta de la piscina. Debe haber cable de alimentación suficiente para hacer esto fácilmente. Si no hay cable de alimentación suficiente para permitir que la carcasa de la luz llegue a la superficie de la cubierta de la piscina, llame a su compañía de servicio de piscina local.

COMPRUEBE QUE LA CLASIFICACIÓN DE LA TENSIÓN DE LA LÁMPARA PUREWHITE (120VCA O 12VCA) COINCIDA CON LOS REQUISITOS DE TENSIÓN DE SU SISTEMA ELÉCTRICO ANTES
DE CONTINUAR CON LA INSTALACIÓN.
PASO 2
Quite la lámpara antigua. Acceda a la lámpara antigua de acuerdo con el manual de instalación de la luz de la piscina del fabricante original. Quite los tornillos y/o afloje la abrazadera que sujeta la placa frontal y la lente en su lugar. Quite con cuidado la lente de la carcasa de la luz de la piscina. Tenga cuidado de no dañar la superficie del cuerpo de la carcasa de la luz que hace contacto con la junta de goma.
PASO 3
Inspeccione la carcasa de luz para signos de desgaste. Inspeccione el ojal de goma, donde el cable de alimentación entra en la luz, para un deterioro excesivo. Inspeccione la carcasa de la luz, la abrazadera tensora y el aro frontal para deformaciones, abolladuras y óxido excesivo. PASO 4
Secar la carcasa de la luz y el lente. Asegúrese de que el interior de la carcasa de la luz y el lente de vidrio estén completamente secos limpiándolos con un trapo limpio.
PASO 5
Instale la lámpara PureWhite. Quite la lámpara antigua y deséchela. Atornille con cuidado la lámpara PureWhite en el tomacorriente.
PASO 6
Vuelva a montar la carcasa de la luz. Proceda limpiando cualquier residuo de la junta del cuerpo de la carcasa de la luz. Una superficie limpia es necesaria para que la nueva junta se asiente correctamente y evite fugas. Instale la junta nueva en la lente de vidrio.
¡ADVERTENCIA!
UTILICE SIEMPRE DE LENTE NUEVA CADA VEZ QUE VUELVA A MONTAR LA CARCASA DE LA LUZ DE LA PISCINA. Si no se instala una junta de lente nueva, se podría producir una fuga de agua que puede dañar permanentemente la lámpara PureWhite y puede causar lesiones graves o la muerte debido a un choque eléctrico.
La garantía del producto se anula si no se instala. Consulte la sección Compatibilidad de juntas para obtener más información. Ajuste lente y la placa frontal en la carcasa de la luz y vuelva a montar de acuerdo con las especificaciones del fabricante de la carcasa de luz. Apriete ligeramente los tornillos o la abrazadera, permitiendo que la junta se selle uniformemente.
PASO 7
Sumergir la luz montada en el agua. Una vez que los tornillos o la abrazadera estén apretados, sumerja la carcasa de luz montada en el agua y compruebe visualmente que las burbujas de aire no están escapando del área de la junta. En caso de que aparezcan burbujas, quite de inmediato la carcasa de la luz del agua y vuelva a encajar y la lente. Una vez que esté satisfecho de que no hay fugas de aire, complete la instalación envolviendo el cable alrededor de la carcasa de la luz y volviendo a conectar la carcasa de la luz al conjunto del nicho.
PASO 8
Compruebe si hay burbujas de aire cuando la luz está "ENCENDIDA". Vuelva a conectar la alimentación a la luz de la piscina restableciendo el disyuntor a la posición "ENCENDIDA". Vuelva a la ubicación de la luz y compruebe si hay burbujas de aire que suben a la superficie desde la carcasa de la luz de la piscina durante por lo menos 10 minutos. Es importante que la lámpara esté encendida durante este tiempo. Si no ve burbujas de aire subiendo a la superficie en cualquier momento durante el proceso de inspección de 10 minutos, la carcasa está sosteniendo su sello hermético de agua y la instalación está completa. Usted está listo para disfrutar su lámpara LED de reemplazo para piscina y spa de PureWhite. Si ve burbujas de aire subiendo a la superficie en cualquier momento durante el proceso de inspección, quite de inmediato la lámpara PureWhite de la carcasa, séquela completamente y restablezca el empaque y lente. Asegúrese de que la lámpara PureWhite y la carcasa de la luz estén completamente secas antes de volver a montarla. Si la carcasa de la luz de la piscina pierde continuamente agua después de 2 o más intentos de instalación, puede ser necesario reemplazar la carcasa de la luz de la piscina.
