Keycap Replacement (Windows Users)
If you are a Windows user, please find the appropriate keycaps in the box. Follow the instructions below to find and replace the following keycaps: Esc, Tab, Caps Lock, Left Shift, Left Ctrl, Left Alt, Left Command, Left Option, and the Spacebar. (Note: The PDF shows a diagram highlighting these keys on the keyboard layout.)
Connecting Your Keyboard
1. Connect Bluetooth
Switch the toggle to Bluetooth mode.
Press and hold Fn1 + Q
(for 4 seconds) to enter pairing mode. Pair with the device named "Keychron K6".

2. Connect Cable
Switch the toggle to Cable mode.
Connect the cable to your keyboard to switch to wired mode.

Customizing Your Keyboard
3. Change Light Effect (RGB Version)
For RGB versions, press Fn1 + Right Arrow
or Fn1 + Left Arrow
to cycle through different light effects and colors.
Press Fn1 + Light Effect Key
to quickly turn the backlight on and off.
4. Multimedia Key and Function Key
Multimedia Keys: Press Fn1
plus the corresponding key:
Fn1 + F1
: Previous TrackFn1 + F2
: Play/PauseFn1 + F3
: Next TrackFn1 + F4
: Volume DownFn1 + F5
: MuteFn1 + F6
: Volume Up
Function Keys: Press Fn2
plus the corresponding F-key (F1
through F12
) to access the standard function key actions.

5. Disable Auto Sleep Mode
The keyboard enters Auto Sleep Mode after 10 minutes of inactivity to save battery. To disable this feature, press and hold Fn1 + S + O
(for 4 seconds).
6. Remap Keys
Keychron does not currently offer official software for remapping keys. However, you can use third-party software:
- For Windows: Use
SharpKeys
. - For Mac: Use
Karabiner
.
(Note: This applies to most keys, except the light effect key.)
6.5 Linux Settings
For Linux users, Keychron has a dedicated user group on Facebook. Search for "Keychron Linux Group" on Facebook for a better experience and support.

7. Turn Off/Adjust Backlight
To adjust the backlight brightness:
- Increase brightness: Press
Fn1 + >
- Decrease brightness: Press
Fn1 + <
To quickly turn the backlight on and off, press Fn1 + Light Effect Key
.
8. Switch Between Right Control Key and Right Alt Key (Windows)
To switch between the Right Control key and the Right Alt key layout in Windows, press and hold Fn1 + K + R
(for 4 seconds).
