Placing The Unit
- Place the streamer on a level, firm surface, avoiding direct sunlight and sources of heat or damp.
- Do not place the ST25 on top of an amplifier or other heat source.
- Ensure the remote-control receiver on the front panel is unobstructed.
- Do not place record decks on top of this unit due to potential noise interference.
- Strong electromagnetic interference may disturb normal function; reset the unit or move it if this occurs.
The product offers the option to deactivate power management functions, which will increase energy consumption.
Wi-Fi Setup - ARCAM Radia App
- Download the ARCAM Radia app to your smartphone or tablet.
- Power on the ARCAM ST25 streamer and open the app.
- Follow the prompts to connect the ST25 to your Wi-Fi router.
- Once connected, the ST25 will appear with a "POWER" icon.
- Select the ST25 to access various features and settings.
Front Panel
The front panel features a display and the ARCAM logo.
Rear Panel Connections
- Power Input: Connect the supplied power cable here.
- Power Switch: Switches the unit on or off.
- USB Socket: Connect a USB stick for media playback.
- Network (Ethernet Socket): Connect to your home network using a Cat 5e or Cat 6 cable for wired connections.
- Control: Use the supplied Control Cable to connect to an ARCAM Radia amplifier.
- Trigger Out: For external control.
- Optical SPDIF Output: Connect to a digital input on a separate DAC.
- Coaxial SPDIF Output: Connect to a digital input on a separate DAC.
- Analogue Audio Outputs: Connect these outputs to an analog input on your amplifier (RCA connectors).
Remote Control
The remote control allows for:
- Standby On/Off: [Power Button]
- Menu Navigation: Use directional buttons, press middle button to select.
- Home Menu / Back: Returns to the main menu or previous screen.
- Toggle Now Playing Display: Shows current playback information.
- Transport Keys: Play/Pause, Skip back/forward.
- Volume Control: Adjusts the audio volume.
- Mute On/Off: [Mute Button]
- Display Bright/Dim/Off: Adjusts the front panel display.
Analogue Audio Connection
Connect the analogue audio outputs (RCA) on the ST25 to the analogue inputs on your amplifier using appropriate cables. Ensure correct L/R channel matching.
Control Connection Setup
This feature synchronizes and controls ARCAM Radia series amplifiers.
- Ensure power is disconnected from both units.
- Connect an audio cable (analogue or digital) from the ST25 output to an amplifier input.
- Connect the control cable from the ST25 CONTROL socket to the ARCAM amplifier's CONTROL socket.
- Power on both units.
- In the ST25 settings menu, set Volume Mode to EXTERNAL.
- Set the Output Type to match the audio connection (Analogue or Digital).
- In the ARCAM amplifier's System Settings, set the Streamer Input to match the connected input.
Top Tips for Control Connection
- When Volume Mode is set to Variable or External, a Maximum External Volume (default 40) can be set to prevent sudden volume jumps. This can be adjusted in the ST25 menu.

DAC Filters
The ST25 offers digital filters for the digital-to-analogue conversion process, affecting frequency response, phase, and ringing.
- Minimum Phase - Fast roll-off: No pre-ringing, extended post ringing.
- Linear Phase Apodizing: Compromise between frequency response and ringing; slight reduction in high frequencies.
- Linear Phase Slow Roll-off: Measurable reduction in high frequencies; short, low-level pre and post ringing.
- Minimum Phase Slow Roll-off: Similar high-frequency reduction; minimal post ringing.
