Getting Started

Checking the Supplied Items

Verify all accessories are present: Platter (with drive belt), Mat for the platter, Dust cover hinges, AC adaptor, Operating Instructions, Dust cover, and 45 rpm adaptor. Contact dealer if anything is missing. Keep packaging materials for potential repair transport.

Assembling the Turntable

Note: Keep the stylus protective cover on during assembly. Do not connect the AC adaptor until assembly is complete. Handle the stylus with extreme care to avoid damage.

Attaching the platter:
  1. Place the platter onto the spindle, keeping it level.
  2. Rotate the platter to align the motor pulley with the rectangular hole, using the red ribbon as a guide.
  3. Peel off the adhesive tape from the red ribbon, pull it, and hook the drive belt around the motor pulley. Rotate the platter clockwise 10 times to stabilize. Press the UP/DOWN button to lower the tone arm to stabilize movement.
  4. Place the mat for the platter onto the platter.
  5. Set the operating mechanism to its initial state: remove the tone arm string and raise the tone arm using the UP/DOWN button.

Note: Ensure the drive belt is not twisted. Avoid stretching the belt roughly. If the belt comes off, temporarily remove the platter to re-hook it. Remove the red ribbon after assembly.

Attaching the dust cover:
  1. Insert dust cover hinges into the hinge pockets on the dust cover.
  2. Align the hinges with the pockets on the rear of the turntable and push the dust cover into place.

Tip: To remove the dust cover, open it fully, grasp both sides near the bottom, and lift upwards.

Precautions on placement:

  • Place on a level surface.
  • Avoid areas near electrical appliances that may cause hum or noise (e.g., TVs, hair dryers, fluorescent lamps).
  • Avoid areas subject to vibration (e.g., near speakers, doors).
  • Keep away from direct sunlight, extreme temperatures, dust, moisture, and devices emitting radio waves or electromagnetic noise.

Connecting Your Turntable

Connecting via the audio cable:

Note: Turn off audio devices before connecting. Make all connections before connecting the AC adaptor.

  1. Connect the audio cable from the turntable to the PHONO, AUX, or analog input jack of the audio device. Connect white (L) plug to white jack and red (R) plug to red jack.
  2. Switch the OUTPUT SELECT switch on the turntable based on the audio device's jack:
    • PHONO input jack: Set switch to PHONO. Uses the audio device's phono preamp.
    • Other input jacks (AUX, VIDEO, etc.): Set switch to LINE. Uses the turntable's built-in phono preamp.

Note: Ensure plugs are inserted firmly to avoid noise. If using only BLUETOOTH, set OUTPUT SELECT to LINE. Connecting to PHONO input with LINE setting can cause loud sound; always use PHONO setting for PHONO input. Connecting to analog input with PHONO setting results in quiet sound; always use LINE setting for analog input.

Connecting with the BLUETOOTH function:

Enjoy vinyl records wirelessly by connecting to BLUETOOTH playback devices (speakers, headphones). It is recommended to connect via BLUETOOTH before playing a record to avoid stylus skipping.

Note: Do not connect to headphones without volume control, as audio may be excessively loud.

Registering (pairing) devices:

  1. Place the BLUETOOTH playback device close to the turntable.
  2. Press and hold the turntable's BLUETOOTH button/- PAIRING button for about 2 seconds until the indicator flashes blue rapidly.
  3. Turn on pairing mode on the playback device. Refer to its user manual for instructions. The turntable indicator will stop flashing and remain lit when pairing is complete.

Tip: Once paired, a short press of the BLUETOOTH button/- PAIRING button enables the connection. The START button can also initiate playback with a paired device when the indicator is orange (standby). Pressing the button again disconnects. Up to 8 devices can be paired. All paired device information can be deleted by holding the button for 10 seconds.

If you cannot register (pair) devices: Ensure only the desired device's BLUETOOTH is enabled. Prevent unwanted devices from auto-connecting. Pairing procedures vary by device. Smartphones, TVs, and computers cannot be paired as the turntable only sends data, it does not receive.

BLUETOOTH wireless communication range: Keep range optimal by disconnecting other electronic devices, avoiding microwaves, and placing the turntable on a non-metal table.

Troubleshooting

Review these suggestions before seeking repair. Contact your dealer or support website if problems persist.

Vinyl record playback:
  • Tone arm skips or skates: Ensure turntable is level. Clean or replace dusty/scratched records.
  • Sound problems: Dirty/worn stylus may cause noise; clean or replace (page 18). Unstable pitch may indicate a worn drive belt; replace (page 19). Dusty records can cause noise; clean them.
  • Rumbling or low-frequency howling noises: Turntable may be too close to speakers (acoustic feedback). Move away from speakers.
  • Noises: Ensure OUTPUT SELECT switch is set to LINE. If set to PHONO, do not connect to non-PHONO input jacks.
  • Sound pitch too high or low: Incorrect speed selected; check record label and set SPEED knob accordingly (33 or 45 rpm). Drive belt may be twisted or worn; untwist or replace (page 19).
  • Sound pitch fluctuates: Stylus is worn out; replace (page 18).
  • Drive belt worn out or broken: Replace drive belt (page 19). Contact dealer for spares.
  • Platter does not turn: Ensure AC adaptor is securely connected. Check drive belt is properly hooked around the motor pulley (page 11).
  • Playback sound too low or distorted: Ensure OUTPUT SELECT switch matches the audio device's input jacks (page 12).

BLUETOOTH connections:

  • Cannot pair via BLUETOOTH: Ensure only the desired device's BLUETOOTH is enabled. Prevent unwanted devices from auto-connecting. Pairing procedures vary by device. Smartphones, TVs, and computers cannot be paired.
  • Cannot connect to BLUETOOTH playback device: Ensure only the desired device's BLUETOOTH is enabled.
  • Cannot connect smartphone, TV, or computer: Turntable sends data but cannot receive; pairing is not possible.
  • BLUETOOTH wireless communication range is short: Disconnect other electronic devices, avoid microwaves, and place on a non-metal table.
