AnyTone D878UV Firmware and CPS Update History
Important Notice: Firmware Update
After updating the firmware, it is necessary to perform a reset. Power off the radio, then power it on while holding the PTT and PF1 buttons simultaneously. The radio will display "MCU Reset, Please Wait". Do not turn off the radio during this process.
Refer to the Separate FW Update Instructions for detailed guidance.
USB Drivers
Many users have found that the D878 radio USB connects to Windows 10 without needing the AnyTone virtual drivers. Simply plugging in the radio and turning it on may allow Windows to find the driver. If you encounter issues with Windows 10 loading a USB driver, consult the separate Virtual USB Driver Installation Instructions.

Change List
- Added Maidenhead locator display in the GPS data. When GPS is locked, the Maidenhead locator displays under the Sat and Lat data.
- Allows APRS Transmit under the Satellite menu. Press PTT+PF2 to transmit APRS. APRS must be set up in CPS > Tool > GPS Satellite Data Update > AprsTxFreq(Hz).

- Separated the color code for TX and RX in channel settings. Loading an old .rdt file into CPS will prompt a screen asking if TX CC should be the same as RX CC. Selecting "Yes" will make TX CC = RX CC.
A prompt appears when importing data: "Since the old version of the data does not have TXCC, are you sure if TXCC=RXCC when importing the data" with options "Yes (Y)" and "No (N)".
- CPS > Optional Setting > GPS/Ranging > Sate Aos limit: allows setting the Elevation/Degrees for the satellite.

This is useful when temporarily lending out radios.
- In the radio menu > GPS > GPS Info, allows saving the GPS position to a fixed beacon.
- In CPS > Optional Setting > Key function, added the "ANA SQL" setting, which allows setting the analog squelch level via side keys.

- Added notification in the help section for Group Call hold time setting and Private Call hold time setting in CPS.
- Added "CTCSS/DCS Scan" in key function. Assigning a key with "CTCSS/DCS Scan" allows the function to be turned on by pressing the key. This function is valid only for analog channels with CTCSS/DCS settings. When this function is ON, if an analog channel with CTCSS setting receives a signal with unmatched CTCSS, the radio will start scanning the CTCSS data base.
