StarTech.com TB32DP2T Thunderbolt 3 to Dual 4K 60Hz DisplayPort Adapter
Product ID: TB32DP2T
Product Overview
This high-performance Thunderbolt™ 3 adapter allows you to add two 4K 60Hz DisplayPort monitors to your Windows® or Mac computer, via a single Thunderbolt 3 port. It can also be used to connect to your Thunderbolt 3 port for a single 5K 60Hz display using two DisplayPort cables.
The Thunderbolt video adapter is compatible with computer systems that support Thunderbolt 3, such as MacBook Pro, Dell™ Precision, and Dell XPS models. Thunderbolt 3 is a protocol that uses the USB-C™ connector, but your computer system must be Thunderbolt 3 compatible for the adapter to function correctly. If you connect the adapter to a non-Thunderbolt 3 compatible USB-C port, the adapter will not work.
With unprecedented 40Gbps performance, Thunderbolt 3 allows you to achieve the previously impossible feat of using a single port on your laptop for dual 4K resolution output at 60Hz to two independent displays. This performance allows you to run the most resource-intensive applications imaginable on two independent displays. You can transmit independent content output to each display, with resolutions up to 4096 x 2160p (60Hz), which is perfect for 4K video editing or performing other Ultra HD high-resolution tasks, such as creating CAD drawings or reviewing medical imaging.
For added versatility, the Thunderbolt 3 adapter can be used to connect two DisplayPort channels with a single 5K display. Using a Thunderbolt 3 adapter is the only way to connect a 5K display to computers that do not have multiple DisplayPort or Thunderbolt 3 ports, such as the Dell Precision 15 3000 Series workstation model.
Functioning as an external graphics adapter with 2 ports and audio support, it provides a practical and compact alternative to a laptop docking station, for situations where full docking capabilities are not required.
With dual UHD 4K displays, you can work more efficiently from your laptop, allowing you to accomplish more in the same period. Furthermore, as each display offers 4K performance, you can get four times the screen space compared to 1080p resolution. Creative professionals can be more productive, as they have the freedom to edit 4K videos on one screen while performing preview tasks or playing back unedited videos on the second 4K display.
This adapter helps keep your system performing at its peak. Unlike USB video external solutions, Thunderbolt 3 allows you to operate at 4K Ultra HD resolution at 60Hz on both displays, without draining system resources.
Its backward compatibility with 1080p high-definition displays makes this adapter a great accessory for home use, in an office, or any other workspace application.
The TB32DP2T model is backed by StarTech.com's 2-year warranty and free lifetime technical support.

Notes / Requirements
Note
The adapter only works when connected to your computer's Thunderbolt 3 port. If it is a non-Thunderbolt 3 compatible USB-C port, the adapter will not function.
MacBook Air, MacBook Pro and Mac Mini systems using the new Apple M1 chip support only a single external display over the Thunderbolt 3 ports, even when connected to a Thunderbolt 3 adapter with more than one video output. This limitation also applies to using multiple Thunderbolt or Type C display adapters on both Type C ports.
