Cuisinart PerfecTemp 12-Cup Programmable Thermal Coffeemaker

Step 1: Prepare Water Filter

Fully immerse the charcoal water filter in cold tap water and soak for 15 minutes. Flush filter under cold water for 10 seconds and insert the filter into the water filter holder. Open the water reservoir and slide into the unit.

Step 2: Add Water

Pour your desired amount of water into the water reservoir, using the water level indicator located in the window on the side of the coffeemaker.

Step 3: Add Coffee Grounds

Insert a permanent gold-tone filter OR a paper filter into the filter basket holder. Using the provided scoop, add 1 scoop of ground coffee per cup (approximately 145 ml). Adjust the amount to taste and close the lid.

Step 4: Brew Coffee

To brew coffee, press the BREW/OFF button. If the ready tone is set to "on", the coffeemaker will beep 5 times when the brewing process is complete.

Step 1: Set the Time

Hold down the HOUR or MIN button until the clock display begins flashing. Press either button to select the desired hour or minute. To advance the number, press and release the button repeatedly. To complete clock setting, do not touch any buttons for 5 seconds. The clock will stop flashing, and the selected time will be displayed.

Step 2: Program Auto On

Press the PROGRAM button. The display will flash the default time (12:00) or the previously selected auto-on time. Use the HOUR and MIN buttons to set your desired start-brew time. After 5 seconds, the unit will exit the Program function. The AUTO ON indicator light will illuminate, confirming that Auto On is activated.

Notes on Auto On: To exit Auto On mode, press the AUTO ON button again. To activate Auto On using the previously set time, press the AUTO ON button; the previously set time will appear, and the indicator light will illuminate. The display will then return to the clock setting. To deactivate Auto On, press the illuminated AUTO ON button; the light will go out.

Step 3: Set Coffee Strength and 1-4 Cup Setting

Select your desired coffee strength (Regular or Bold) by pressing the BOLD button for stronger coffee. Select the 1-4 cup setting by pressing the "1-4" button if brewing less than five cups. The corresponding indicator lights will illuminate.

Step 4: Turn Ready Tone On/Off

Your coffeemaker features a Ready Tone alert that beeps 5 times when the coffee has finished brewing. This alert is on by default. To turn it off, press the TONE button once; an icon will appear on the display to indicate the tone is off. To turn it back on, press the TONE button again; the icon will disappear.
