Notes:

Constant temperature mode: Can be set to turn on or off 24 hours a day. The thermostatic mode operates for a selected period. When water temperature is 5°C below the target, the pump runs automatically. It shuts off when the target temperature is reached. If the target temperature is never reached, it shuts off for 5 minutes after every 10 minutes of operation.

Manual mode: Press the "Heat" button to activate temperature detection. If water temperature is 5°C below the target, the pump runs automatically. It shuts off when the target temperature is reached or after 10 minutes of operation.

General Installation Instructions

Attention:

  1. Before installation, verify pipeline connections are reliable and free from impurities. The adapter output is low voltage DC 24V. A filtering screen can be installed at the pump inlet to filter particles; clean it regularly.
  2. Confirm that connected household appliances can handle hot water at the cold water end.
  3. To prevent scalding, be mindful of hot water temperature and avoid direct contact with skin.
  4. For installations without a return water pipe, if cold water is used, the water heater might start. This can be resolved by adjusting the hot water angle valve or adding a ball valve at the pump inlet/outlet.
  5. The HBS24-12T Pump must be installed or maintained by professionals. Mount it vertically on a wall or flat on the floor (near a floor drain). Follow the installation diagram, paying attention to water pipe connections and check valve direction. After installation, check for leaks. Protect the pump from water splashes to prevent electric shock.
  6. After connecting the power adapter, perform a test run. The non-water running time should not exceed 5 seconds to protect bearing life.
  7. When the pump is operating, turn off the power supply before adjusting its position or touching it to prevent accidents.
  8. Conduct regular inspections and replace any damaged parts promptly.
  9. If the pump is not used for a long time, close the inlet and outlet water pipe valves and disconnect the pump's power supply. Replace damaged cables or adapters.
  10. In winter, if the ambient temperature is below 0°C and the pump stops running, drain the pipeline system to prevent freezing and cracking.
  11. If any abnormal situation occurs during use, turn off the power immediately.
  12. Do not disassemble or reassemble the appliance.
  13. Do not touch the power plug or switch with wet hands to avoid electric shock.
  14. Do not install the product in a location where it cannot be drained.

Installation Warnings:

Where To Install The Pump:

Install the pump under the faucet farthest from the water heater in each loop.

Installation Steps:

  1. Shut off the cold water angle valve and hot water angle valve under the faucet.
  2. Disconnect the hot water line to the faucet. Connect the brass Tee to the 1/2" NPT inlet of the pump, ensuring the rubber gasket is in place. Connect the faucet's hot water line to this brass Tee, then connect a 1/2 inch supply line (provided) to the Tee, and finally connect this supply line to the hot water angle valve.
  3. Disconnect the cold water line to the faucet. Connect the brass Tee to the 1/2" NPT outlet of the pump, ensuring the rubber gasket is in place. Connect the faucet's cold water pipe to this brass Tee, then connect a 1/2 inch supply line (provided) to the Tee, and finally connect this supply line to the cold water angle valve.
  4. Use pipe dope or Teflon tape to seal threads for 1/2 female NPT connections. If a gasket flexible copper water heater connector is used, pipe dope or Teflon tape is not required.
  5. Paste the punch-free sticker on the wall as shown in the diagram, or on other suitable fixed positions. Allow 2 hours for adhesion (ensure the wall or position is dry and clean before sticking).
  6. Hang the pump installation icon on the punch-free sticker. The pump must be installed vertically on the wall or flat on the floor with the screen up (floor drain nearby). Horizontal wall mounting is forbidden.
  7. Turn on the supply valve to the water heater and allow water to flow until all air in the pipeline is purged.
  8. Turn off the faucet inside the house.
  9. Plug the pump's line cord into a 115V outlet. Ensure the power cord does not touch the exhaust pipe of a gas or oil water heater.
