Installing Your Solar Panel
Place the solar panel in an area with consistent sunlight throughout the year. It only needs a few hours of direct sunlight each day to keep your camera powered. The amount of power that the solar panel produces is affected by weather conditions, seasonal changes, and geographic location.
Step 1: Mount the Base
Fix the mounting pole and base of the solar panel to the wall using the included screws. You may need to use wall anchors depending on the wall type. [Illustration: Mounting pole and base attached to a wall with screws, with arrows indicating insertion.]
Step 2: Attach to Solar Panel
Screw the mounting pole and base into the back of the solar panel. Tighten it firmly with the attached nut. [Illustration: Mounting pole and base being screwed into the back of the solar panel, with a nut for tightening.]
Step 3: Adjust Angle
The solar panel's angle can be adjusted up and down up to 90°. [Illustration: Solar panel being adjusted up and down within a 90° range, with a sun symbol ☀️ indicating optimal sunlight.]
Step 4: Connect Adaptor
Attach the Micro B USB to USB-C adaptor to the end of the solar panel cable.
Step 5: Connect to Camera
Plug the solar panel cable and adaptor into the USB charging socket of the camera to power. [Illustration: Solar panel cable with adaptor connected to the USB charging socket of a Wi-Fi battery-powered camera.]
Positioning Your Solar Panel
Step 1: Find Optimal Location
Find an area that gets the most direct sunlight throughout the day.
Step 2: Set Angle
Angle the solar panel 90° upwards or downwards as shown below. [Illustration: Completed installation showing the solar panel mounted on a wall and angled towards a wall-mounted camera.]
