2 Getting Started

To get started:

Add four alkaline AA batteries (not included).
Select and attach a message grid for 1, 2, 4, or 8 message locations.
Turn the device on.
Select a level and grid using the controls on the device spine.
Press and hold the record button until the record light activates, then release.
Press and hold the desired message location, speak when you hear a beep, and release when finished.
Press and release the record button to exit record mode.
Your device is ready to use.

3 Device Overview

The SuperTalker™ FT features:

Key Components:

Microphone: For recording.
Recording Indicator Light: Shows recording status.
Volume Control Buttons: Adjust sound volume.
Sound Output Speaker: Plays messages.
Battery Compartment: Holds AA batteries.
On/Off Switch: Powers the device.
Message Grid Release: For swapping grids.
Message Grid: Surface for message overlays.
Levels Dial: Selects message level (1-8).
Grid Switch: Selects grid size (1, 2, 4, or 8 locations).
Record Button: For recording and exiting record mode.

Message Grids:

Supports 1, 2, 4, and 8-message formats. Grids attach to the front; storage is under a panel.

Additional Features:

Step Ahead Jack: Sequential message activation via external switch.
Toy/Appliance Jack: Activates connected toy/appliance with message playback.

Indicators:

Low Battery: Flashing light indicates battery replacement needed.
Low Memory: Yellow light means less than 2 minutes of record time remain.
