DocumentDocumentINTERNAL FAIRING SUPPORT, TM-3016 Thank you for purchasing the Trask Performance Internal fairing support. This model is intended to be used on HD Road Glides between the years 1998 to 2013. Please be sure to read thru the entire instruction sheet before beginning any disassembly of your motorcycle. If you have any questions, please give us a call and we will help you thru the process. ·Open the box and make sure all contents are present: · Right side bracket ·Left side bracket ·Center connector rod ·2x 5/16"-18 button head bolts ·2x 5/16" lock washers ·Remove the outer fairing according to your HD service manual ·Prepare your Trask Performance Internal Fairing Mount: ·Locate the right side bracket and center connector rod ·Assemble these two parts using one of the Trask supplied 5/16" bolts and washers. We advise using a little drop of Red Loctite on this bolt. Be sure not to completely tighten these two pieces at this time. ·Locate and remove the two right side radio carrier bracket nuts. Retain these nuts as you will reuse these for assembly. ·Install the right side bracket and center connector rod over the two studs you just removed the two nuts from and reinstall the nuts. Use Red Loctite on these fasteners as well and do not completely tighten them at this time. Note: There are two flats along one side of the center connector rod. These flats will need to face towards the inner fairing. ·Failure to do so will result in misalignment of the bracket. ·Locate and remove the two left side radio carrier nuts. ·Install the left side fairing bracket over the two studs and reuse the two nuts you just removed. You can also install the second 5/16" bolt and washer provided connecting the left side bracket to the center connector rod. Be sure to use Red Loctite on all of these fasteners. ·You can now tighten the center section to the right and left side brackets making sure the "flats" on the center section are properly clocked to face the inner fairing. ·Align the fairing and bracket: ·Raise the inner fairing assembly to the top most position. ·The Trask Inner Fairing Support needs to sit in its lowest position of adjustment. ·At this time you can tighten the four radio carrier bracket nuts to hold everything into place. ·Secure all parts of the wiring harness other than the headlight plug into the "U"-channel of the radio carrier bracket. Failure to do so will result in difficulty reinstalling the outer fairing. ·Reinstall the outer fairing. Be sure when reinstalling your turn signals not to pinch any of the turn signal wiring as you tighten the hardware. Note: It may be necessary to adjust the left and right support arms to properly align with the inner fairing turn signal mounting holes 1 2 3 4 1. CENTER CONNECTING ROD 2. RADIO CARRIER NUT(S) 3.
