Quick Start Guide

Bluetooth Pairing

To connect your JBL Clip 5 to a device:

Turn on the speaker.
On your device, go to Bluetooth settings and select "JBL Clip 5".
The speaker will appear as "Connected" and "Now Discoverable".

Multi-Speaker Connection

Connect multiple JBL speakers for a bigger sound experience:

Press the Play button once (x1) on the first speaker.
Press the Play button twice (x2) on the second speaker to connect.

App

Enhance your speaker experience with the JBL PORTABLE app. Use it for speaker configuration and software upgrades.

Download the JBL PORTABLE app from your device's app store.

Charging

Connect the USB-C cable to the speaker and a power source.

Carabiner

The integrated carabiner allows you to easily attach the JBL Clip 5 to your bag, belt, or other gear.

Waterproof & Dustproof (IP67)

The JBL Clip 5 is waterproof and dustproof with an IP67 rating. It can be submerged in water up to 1 meter for 30 minutes.

Important: To protect battery lifespan, fully charge at least once every 3 months. Battery life will vary due to usage patterns and environmental conditions. Do not expose the JBL Clip 5 to liquids without removing cable connection. Do not expose JBL Clip 5 to water while charging. It may result in permanent damage to the speaker or power source. Chemicals, salt or “foreign particles” in your pool or the ocean can damage the waterproof seals or harm the connector surface over time if not rinsed off after use. After a liquid spill or rinse, do not charge your speaker until it’s completely dry and clean. Charging when wet might damage your speaker. When using an external adapter, the output voltage/current of the external adapter should not exceed 5V/3A.
