SAFETY
- Installation should be performed by a qualified electrician.
- The fitting is suitable for connection to a 220-240V earthed supply, adhering to current IEE wiring regulations and local Building Regulations.
- This product is intended for domestic, indoor use only.
- Connection should be to a dedicated lighting circuit protected by a 5-amp fuse or a 6-amp miniature circuit breaker.
- Ensure adequate distance between the electrical connection and the mirror casing to prevent shorting.
- Before installation, switch off the mains supply and remove the appropriate fuse or circuit breaker. Take precautions to prevent accidental reconnection.
- Do not place flammable materials within the indicated "Minimum Distance" from the unit.
- Handle the product with care, as it may contain delicate parts prone to breakage.
- Keep the shaver socket cover closed when not in use to prevent moisture ingress.
- Only use items designed for shaver sockets, such as shavers or electric toothbrushes.
- The shaver socket provides 230V at a maximum current of 80mA and is not earthed. Do not connect devices requiring higher current, different voltage, or an earth connection.
- Modifications to the fitting will void the warranty and may render the product unsafe.
- Do not operate a defective or damaged appliance, as it may cause electric shock. Disconnect from mains before seeking assistance.
- The product is IP44 rated. Installation is permitted in Bathroom Zone 2 only; not in Zones 0 or 1.
- Ensure no pipes or wires are located behind the wall before drilling.
- Clearly mark the hanging location to avoid wall damage due to incorrect positioning.
- Inspect the mirror for damage before installation.
- Unpack carefully, avoiding sharp blades to prevent mirror damage and warranty voidance.
- Apply a bead of silicone sealant between the mirror and the wall along the top and sides. Do not seal the bottom to prevent water accumulation behind the mirror.
