TOPDON TC001 Plus Dual-Lens Thermal Camera for Smartphones
Bedienungsanleitung
1. Product Overview
Thank you for purchasing the TC001 Plus, a portable camera that can turn your smartphone, tablet, or Windows laptop into a powerful thermal imaging camera.
The device features:
- ① USB-C Connector
- ② Display
- ③ Infrared Lens
- ④ Visible Light Lens
2. Precautions and Notes
For your own safety, the safety of others, and to avoid damage to the product, please read this manual carefully and ensure you have fully understood all safety instructions and notes before operating the device.
2.1. Safety Precautions
- Do not point the infrared camera at the sun or other strong energy sources for extended periods. This can damage the detector in the camera.
- Please keep the device away from water to avoid leaks or short circuits.
- Do not touch the lens with your hands. Do not knock, pry, puncture, or scratch the lens.
- Do not disassemble the device.
2.2. Notes for the User
- The "click" sound is normal and occurs when the infrared camera automatically triggers the shutter. Scattered infrared light generates heat, causing the image to become blurry. Releasing the shutter again can make the image clearer, but it produces the "click" sound.
- The device is designed for measuring surface temperatures, but it cannot detect heat through transparent materials like glass, acrylic, or water, nor through opaque objects.
- To check the accuracy of your device's temperature measurement, prepare an ice-water mixture, stir it, and let it rest for a few minutes. Then, access the temperature correction interface via "Learn More" to set the emissivity to 0.96 and enter the actual distance to the spot. Measure the temperature of the mixture with your device and check if the measured value is within the range of 0°C ± 2°C. If it is, it confirms the device's accurate temperature measurement. If not, please contact our customer service team.
- To reduce errors and interference and achieve accurate results, avoid measurements in direct, strong light or near reflective surfaces such as glass.
- Prolonged exposure to high-temperature sources can affect image quality. To resolve this issue, tap "Learn More" under "Image Calibration" and follow the on-screen instructions.
3. Operating Instructions

5. FAQ
F: Why is there no response after connecting the TC001 Plus to a phone?
A: Please follow the steps below to troubleshoot the issue:
- a) Check if the blue LED indicator on the side of the TC001 Plus is lit. If not, the device may not be properly connected to your phone, or your phone may not support the OTG function.
- b) Check if OTG is available and enabled in your phone's settings. Most phones have OTG functions enabled by default and can be used directly. If not, search for "OTG" in the settings and enable it manually. Please note that the TC001 Plus is not compatible with phones without OTG functionality.
- c) Check if you have downloaded the corresponding application and granted the necessary authorization.
- d) Disconnect the TC001 Plus camera from the power source and reconnect it. If there is still no response, please contact customer service.
F: What external factors influence infrared temperature measurement?
A: The results of temperature measurement can be influenced by factors such as the emissivity of the object's surface, the ambient temperature, and the distance from the camera to the object.
F: Why does the temperature display increase as the device gets closer to the object?
A: Infrared radiation weakens as it passes through the atmosphere. The longer the distance, the greater the attenuation. Therefore, the accuracy of temperature measurement decreases with distance. To ensure measurement accuracy, please go to Learn More > Temperature Correction > Distance to Spot and enter the actual distance (max. 5 m) to obtain the corrected temperature.
F: Why is the measured temperature not accurate?
A: The TC001 Plus camera offers temperature accuracy of ±2° C or ±2%, with a normal temperature range of -20° C to 150° C (-4° F to 302° F) and a high-temperature range of 150° C to 550° C (302° F to 1022° F). Please select the appropriate range in the application before measurement to ensure more accurate readings.
