Replace the battery cover and tighten the screw to secure. 6. When closing the battery cover ensure that the screws are securely tightened. This will avoid any water leakage. To turn the submarine OFF ( ), press the ON/OFF BUTTON a second time. 2. AUTOMATIC SHUT-OFF To preserve battery life, the VTech® Splashtime Submarine will automatically power down after approximately 35 seconds without input. Press the ON/OFF BUTTON to turn the submarine ON. You will hear a sound, a phrase and a song. The light will flash with the responses. 2. Press the LIGHT UP GOGGLES BUTTON to hear fun phrases and songs. When the water pump is in the water, you will see water come out from the periscope. The light will flash with the responses. 3. Use the Boat Scoop to pour water on the gears, starfish and two water entry holes for fun water play. 4. The periscope can be turned in different directions to pour water on the gears and on the starfish. 777 5. If there is no input after approximately 15 seconds, encouraging phrases will be played. If there is still no input after another 15 seconds, the submarine will play a short tune and enter sleep mode. The submarine can be turned on again by pressing the LIGHT UP GOGGLES BUTTON. TROUBLESHOOTING If for some reason the unit stops working or malfunctions, please follow these steps: 1. Please turn the unit OFF. 2. Interrupt the power supply by removing the batteries. 3.
