Front view
The front of the speakerphone features the following controls and indicators:
- Microsoft Teams button
- Answer/ End/ Reject* call button
- Volume down button

Back view
The back of the speakerphone has a USB-A plug connected to a USB-C to USB-A adapter.
Setting up your speakerphone
- Gently unwind the cable from the cable holder on the back of the speakerphone.
- Dislodge the USB-A connector from the adapter as required. A caution is noted against bending the cable at a sharp angle, which could cause damage.
- Connect the cable to a USB-A port or USB-C port on your computer. Visuals illustrate connecting to both USB-A and USB-C ports.
Setting up your speakerphone with a monitor
Connect the speakerphone cable to the USB-A port or USB-C port on your monitor.
- Connect to the USB-A port of the Dell monitor.
- Connect to the USB-C port of the Dell monitor.
Note: If the speakerphone is not detected, check if the upstream cable is connected from your computer to the Dell monitor.
Set your speakerphone as default sound device in Windows 10/11
Follow these steps to set the speakerphone as the default sound device:
- Go to Settings.
- Go to System > Sound.
- On the right pane, select the desired device from the drop-down list for both output and input devices.
a. Set output device: Select 'Echo Cancelling Speakerphone (Dell Speakerphone SP3022)' under Output.
b. Set input device: Select 'Echo Cancelling Speakerphone (Dell Speakerphone SP3022)' under Input.
Alternative method:
- Click the sound volume icon in the system tray.
- Click the up arrow next to the current audio device.
- Choose 'Echo Cancelling Speakerphone (Dell Speakerphone SP3022)' from the list.
To open the classic Sound options in Windows 10:
- Press Win + R to open the Run dialog.
- Type or paste
Mmsys.cpl
and press Enter. - In the Sound applet, select the desired device and click 'Set Default'.

Using Microsoft Teams with your speakerphone
- Answer incoming Teams calls: Press the Answer/ End/ Reject call button.
- Reject incoming Teams calls: Long press the Answer/ End/ Reject call button for one second.
- End Teams calls: Press the Answer/ End/ Reject call button.
- Making Teams calls: Press the Teams button to bring the Teams app to the main screen, then start a call through the Teams application on your computer.
- Adjusting the volume: Press the Volume up button to increase volume or the Volume down button to decrease volume. An audio prompt tone is heard when adjusting volume.

- OK*: Mute/Unmute button works as intended, but status may not sync with the app interface.
- OK**: Answer/End/Reject Call button has two states: Reject call (long press for one second) and End ongoing call (via Zoom app only).

Dell Peripheral Manager
What is Dell Peripheral Manager?
The Dell Peripheral Manager application allows users to manage and set up various Dell Peripherals connected to their computer, customize device settings, and access additional features.
Installing Dell Peripheral Manager

Troubleshooting
Problems and Possible Solutions

SP3022's buttons don't respond while making a call via conferencing applications other than Teams. | For applications other than Teams, it is recommended to use the in-app controls rather than the speakerphone buttons. Refer to the button behavior table on page 17. |
Answer call button doesn't work when receiving calls from Teams | This may occur when multiple conferencing applications are active simultaneously. It is recommended to use in-app controls rather than the speakerphone buttons. |
The Echo can be heard during the call | The SP3022 has an echo cancellation feature. If echo is heard, the other user may not have echo cancellation enabled. |
