Note: Multimedia functions may be partially invalid in different OS versions.
Mode Switching
The keyboard supports multiple connection modes and can connect up to 5 devices simultaneously.
- Mode Channels: BT1, BT2, BT3, 2.4G, Wired.
- Mode Rotary Knob: Turn the knob to select between OFF, Wired, 2.4G, or BT modes.
- Bluetooth Channel Switching: Press

to switch between Bluetooth channels BT1, BT2, and BT3 respectively.
Indicator Lights:

Connection Instructions
Wired Mode
- Insert the Type-C end of the charging cable into the keyboard.
- Connect the USB end of the cable to your computer's USB port.
- Switch the mode rotary knob to 'Wired'. The 'M' indicator will flash once and then go out, indicating a successful connection.
Note: In Type-C wired mode, the 'OFF' switch has no function.
2.4GHz Wireless Mode
- Take out the USB wireless receiver (dongle).
- Insert the dongle into the USB port of your computer.
- Switch the mode rotary knob to '2.4G'. The 'M' indicator will flash twice and then go off, indicating a successful connection.
Note: During 2.4GHz usage, latency caused by external signal interference can be reduced by using a Type-C to USB adapter to minimize interference. For optimal performance, place the USB receiver close to the keyboard.
Bluetooth Mode
Take connecting to BT1 as an example:
- Long press
Fn + Q
(for BT1) for 3-5 seconds. The corresponding indicator light will flash quickly, entering Bluetooth pairing mode. - Turn on the Bluetooth on your computer or device. Search for and select "R87 BT3.0" or "R87 BT5.0" and start pairing until the connection is completed.
Notice:
- Windows 7 and below system versions do not support Bluetooth 5.0.
- The device name for Bluetooth 3.0 is "R87 BT3.0".
- The device name for Bluetooth 5.0 is "R87 BT5.0".
Charging Guide
- Low Voltage Reminder: The indicator light flashes in red.
- Charging: Plug the Type-C interface of the charging cable into the keyboard and the USB interface into your computer. The charging indicator light stays red continuously.
- Charging Complete: The indicator light turns green.
Notice: During the charging process, all modes are not controlled by the 'ON/OFF' switch and are directly powered by the charging cable.
Custom Driver
For custom mode features, download the official driver from the ProtoArc website:
Navigate to "Support" from the Header Menu, then select "Driver Downloads".
Note: The driver can only be used in wired and 2.4G modes.
Switch Replacement
Follow these steps to replace a mechanical switch:
- Use the included keycap puller to remove the keycap.
- Use the included switch puller to carefully pull out the old switch from its socket.
- Align the new switch with the corresponding holes on the keyboard.
- Gently press the new switch into the socket until it is seated properly.
- Once the keycap is reinstalled, the keyboard is ready for use.
Function Overview & Indicators
[RGB Light switch]
: Toggles the RGB lighting.[Switch the RGB light mode]

iOS/Mac/Win Layout Switching
The keyboard defaults to the Windows layout. You can switch between Windows and Mac layouts as needed.

Troubleshooting
- Ensure the USB wireless receiver is properly inserted into the computer's USB port.
- Verify that your computer meets the minimum system requirements.

Attention / Precautions
- For cleaning, use a dry, soft cotton fabric.
- Do not fold or bend the product.
- Do not forcefully disassemble the product.

- Do not rinse the product directly with water.
- The keyboard is designed to be charged with a rated voltage of 5V via USB. Use the computer's USB interface for charging; avoid using a charger.
- Prevent liquids from entering internal components during use to avoid short circuits and malfunctions.
Warranty Information
The product warranty is valid for one year from the date of purchase. The following situations are not covered by after-sales service:
- Inability to provide a valid warranty card and invoice, or unauthorized alteration of the warranty.
- Mismatch between product model/serial number on the warranty card and the physical product, or missing distributor seal.
- Alteration, removal, or illegibility of the product's model number, serial number, or production date code.
- Defects from excessive use outside intended purpose (e.g., non-stop commercial use).
- Damage caused by not following provided instructions.
- Damage from pirated software or computer viruses.
- Damage from accidents, unauthorized repairs, or service from unapproved vendors.
- Damage caused by force majeure.
- Malfunctions due to accidental disconnection, signal interference, or other influencing factors.
- Normal wear and tear or defects in consumable parts.
- Product malfunction due to use in a country for which it was not originally designed or approved.
