Connection Instructions

Wired Mode

  1. Insert the Type-C end of the charging cable into the keyboard.
  2. Connect the USB end of the cable to your computer's USB port.
  3. Switch the mode rotary knob to 'Wired'. The 'M' indicator will flash once and then go out, indicating a successful connection.

Note: In Type-C wired mode, the 'OFF' switch has no function.

2.4GHz Wireless Mode

  1. Take out the USB wireless receiver (dongle).
  2. Insert the dongle into the USB port of your computer.
  3. Switch the mode rotary knob to '2.4G'. The 'M' indicator will flash twice and then go off, indicating a successful connection.

Note: During 2.4GHz usage, latency caused by external signal interference can be reduced by using a Type-C to USB adapter to minimize interference. For optimal performance, place the USB receiver close to the keyboard.

Bluetooth Mode

Take connecting to BT1 as an example:

  1. Long press Fn + Q (for BT1) for 3-5 seconds. The corresponding indicator light will flash quickly, entering Bluetooth pairing mode.
  2. Turn on the Bluetooth on your computer or device. Search for and select "R87 BT3.0" or "R87 BT5.0" and start pairing until the connection is completed.

Notice:

Charging Guide

  1. Low Voltage Reminder: The indicator light flashes in red.
  2. Charging: Plug the Type-C interface of the charging cable into the keyboard and the USB interface into your computer. The charging indicator light stays red continuously.
  3. Charging Complete: The indicator light turns green.

Notice: During the charging process, all modes are not controlled by the 'ON/OFF' switch and are directly powered by the charging cable.

Custom Driver

For custom mode features, download the official driver from the ProtoArc website:

https://www.protoarc.com

Navigate to "Support" from the Header Menu, then select "Driver Downloads".

Note: The driver can only be used in wired and 2.4G modes.
