Connecting Wireless Headphones to Any Audio Source

Welcome to the owner's guide for the Twelve South AirFly Duo. This guide will help you connect your wireless headphones to any device with a 3.5mm headphone jack.

Pairing AirFly Duo with AirPods
Follow these steps to pair your AirPods with the AirFly Duo.
Step 1: Enter Pairing Mode on AirFly Duo
Turn on the AirFly Duo using the side switch. Press and hold Button 1 for four seconds until the light flashes white and amber. ⏱️

Step 2: Enter Pairing Mode on AirPods
Place your AirPods inside their Charging Case. With the lid open, press and hold the button on the back of the Charging Case until the light flashes white.

Step 3: Confirmation of Pairing
Once successfully paired, the light on your AirPods Charging Case will turn green. The light on the AirFly Duo will be solid white and then turn off after 10 seconds. ✔️
Note: Initial pairing can take up to 90 seconds. The AirFly Duo will remember your AirPods for future reconnections.
To pair a second set of AirPods, repeat the process using Button 2 (refer to page 10 for details on pairing a second set).

Step 4: Connect to Audio Source
Plug the AirFly Duo into any device with a standard headphone jack (e.g., airplane entertainment systems, older smartphones, laptops) to listen to audio wirelessly.

Pairing AirFly Duo with Wireless Headphones
Connect your standard Bluetooth wireless headphones to the AirFly Duo.
Step 1: Enter Pairing Mode on AirFly Duo
Turn on the AirFly Duo using the side switch. Press and hold Button 1 for four seconds until the light flashes white and amber. ⏱️

Step 2: Enter Pairing Mode on Headphones
Put your wireless headphones into Bluetooth Pairing Mode. Refer to your headphones' owner's manual for specific instructions.

Step 3: Confirmation of Pairing
Once successfully paired, the light on the AirFly Duo will be solid white and turn off after 10 seconds. ✔️

Pairing AirFly Duo with a Second Set of Wireless Headphones
The AirFly Duo can connect to two sets of headphones simultaneously.
Step 1: Enter Pairing Mode on AirFly Duo
Turn on the AirFly Duo using the side switch. Press and hold Button 2 for four seconds until the light flashes white and amber. ⏱️

Step 2: Enter Pairing Mode on Second Set of Headphones
Put your second set of headphones into Bluetooth Pairing Mode. Refer to your headphones' owner's manual for specific instructions.
To add a second pair of AirPods, please refer to the "Pairing AirFly Duo with AirPods" section on page 1.

Step 3: Confirmation of Pairing
Once successfully paired, the light on the AirFly Duo will be solid white and turn off after 10 seconds. ✔️

Turning AirFly Duo On & Off
Use the switch on the side of the AirFly Duo to turn it on or off.
- Slide the switch up to turn the AirFly Duo on.
- Slide the switch down to turn the AirFly Duo off.
When turned back on, the AirFly Duo will automatically reconnect to the last paired set(s) of headphones.

Reconnecting Headphones to Your Smartphone/Tablet
Once paired, the AirFly Duo remembers your headphones. To switch back to using your headphones with your smartphone or tablet, first turn the AirFly Duo off.
On your smartphone or tablet:
- Open Bluetooth Settings.
- Select your headphones from the list of available devices.
The status will change from "Not Connected" to "Connected" once your headphones are successfully paired with your device.

Charging AirFly Duo
To recharge your AirFly Duo, simply plug the included USB-C to USB-A Charging Cable into the AirFly Duo and then into any powered USB port.
The AirFly Duo is fully charged within 2 hours.
The internal battery of the AirFly Duo lasts approximately 20 hours. It is recommended to fully charge the AirFly Duo before using it for the first time.
If the AirFly Duo is low on power, its light will flash amber 3 times to alert you that it needs to be charged soon.
While charging, the AirFly Duo's light will illuminate in amber. Once fully charged, the amber light will turn off.

Tips & Tricks
- One AirPod Not Playing: If only one AirPod seems to be playing audio, turn the AirFly Duo off and then back on. This action will re-sync the AirFly Duo and should reconnect both AirPods.
- Resetting AirFly Duo: If you want to pair a new set of headphones to your AirFly Duo, or are experiencing issues connecting to your headphones, you can reset the AirFly Duo. Press and hold the Reset button on the side of the AirFly Duo for 4 seconds. Once reset, the AirFly Duo will blink amber 4 times and then automatically enter Pairing Mode.

Status Light Guide
Understand the different LED indicator lights on your AirFly Duo:
- Power On: White LED flashes twice.
- Pairing Mode: White & Amber LED flash alternately.
- Unconnected Standby Mode: White LED flashes twice every 5 seconds.
- Connected Standby Mode: Solid White LED.
- Low Power: Amber LED flashes 3 times.
- Charging: Solid Amber light.
- Fully Charged: Amber LED turns off.
