STEP 1. - CHECK FOR OBSTRUCTIONS
Check for any obstructions that may interfere in installation.

STEP 2. - CHECK VERTICAL & HORIZONTAL INSTALLATION DIMENSIONS

VERTICAL DIMENSIONS

Check if top of installation space is level.
· If H1 H2, corrective actions may need to be considered prior to installation

HORIZONTAL DIMENSIONS

If W2 W1, W1=Blind Width (proceed to Part B)

MOTORISATION For motorised awnings you may need a qualified electrician to trim and attach plug to the lead or hardwire. Program motor as per instructions: https://www.betta-blinds.com.au/installations.html A Cassette/Pelmet is recommended with motorised awnings to protect the motor from the elements. If no cassette has been ordered the awning will need to be installed where the motor can be protected from the elements. Motor warranty does not cover water damage.
Installing a Automate Rechargeable Battery Pack
The rechargeable Lithium-Ion battery pack enables Automate DCFT motor to operate wirelessly and without the constraints of traditional battery wands with disposable batteries.
FEATURES: Provides up to 6-12 months on a single charge (depends on shade size, fabric weight& usage) Battery pack fully recharges in ~ 7 hours. Battery health status reported in Automate Pulse App.
NOTE: If using a compatible external battery, please use the below steps. Battery must only be charged by Rollease Acmeda battery charger. Battery charger LED status: RED = Charging GREEN = Idle NOTE: Battery pack will only charge between 0-45°C Battery pack must be installed out of direct sunlight. Recommended to install the battery in a horizontal orientation to minimize the risk of water ingress. Ensure the battery is positioned away from direct contact with water or exposure to adverse weather conditions during installation.
1. First decide the best place to mount the battery pack, remembering to not install the pack in direct sunlight, horizontal position is recommended if possible.
2. Mark and drill 4mm holes for the battery pack clips, ideally space them 465mm apart.
3. Attach clips and click battery pack in place. 4. Drill a 14mm hole for motor cable. We recommend you have the motor cable come out of the side end plate, at the
back or the top of the casstte depending on the fit of the awning and where the battery is postioned. Page.18

5. Join motor cable and battery pack together, you are now ready to set the limits, please see instructions on setting limits.
Program motor as per instructions: https://www.betta-blinds.com.au/installations.html Mounting Options
Battery pack must be installed out of direct sunlight. Caution: Like all outdoor blinds, it is prudent to retract the blind in the presence of strong winds. Page.19

PROBLEM

Ripples along sides of fabric 1

2

Blind does not fully open / jams

Ripples along sides of fabric 3

CAUSE Blind rolled up for an extended period of time.

SOLUTION
This occurrence is inherent to roller systems and is more prevalent in some fabrics. Leave blind down for 1 4 hours; most ripples should disappear.

Not enough weight in weight bar.

Refer to Product Specs. Add ballast.

Installation is not square.

Check blind roll is installed level.

Fabric permanently damaged due to inadequate handling during assembly, transportation, installation or use.
Position of wire guides at base is incorrect.
Incorrect motor stop limits used.

Replace fabric and ensure it is handled with care.
Check if wire guide fixing at floor/base are positioned in line with the Top Terminal. If fixing is too far inwards of the terminal then reposition. Refer to Part C, Step 1 of this document for wire guide positioning details.
Refer to motor instructions to reset stop limits.

Blind roll is not level, thus weight bar ap- pears uneven.

Ensure blind is installed level.

Blind has been operated in excessive wind conditions.

Check blind roll when the blind is fully raised. If ripples are evident on roll, open blind fully (without the presence of wind) to allow the blind to track down evenly. Raise and lower blind a number of times to check operation.

Fabric is not installed straight.

Ensure fabric is assembled straight onto tube and weight bar.

4

Locks go out of sync

Locks are not level Uneven Weight Bar (see above)

Lower blind until fabric is slack then lift one side so that the lock disengages

Obstruction preventing weight bar lowering through lock

Remove obstruction to allow weight bar to reach its low- est point.
