Irrigation sensors are crucial for ensuring proper function, preventing damage, and increasing water-use efficiency. Combining atmospheric sensors (rain, freeze, wind) with soil moisture sensors can prevent unnecessary irrigation.

Pairing ET sensors with soil moisture sensors maximizes water savings. Adding flow sensing, monitoring, and management devices protects landscapes from leaks and helps manage water consumption within budgets.

Know Your Flow

Hunter offers various irrigation flow solutions:

FlowClik

A simple, economical flow sensor that detects system-wide high-flow conditions to automatically shut down irrigation.

Standard and Wireless HC Flow Meter

Detects, monitors, and reports critical flow zone data and total flows with Hydrawise systems. Notifies users and prevents irrigation after high-flow conditions. Acts as an analog sub-meter and visual leak detection device.

Standard and Wireless Flow-Sync Sensor (HFS) (WFS)

An inserted flow sensor for FCT fittings that provides monitoring and management for systems paired with the ACC2 controller. Learns station flows, reacts to high/low-flow conditions, and optimizes irrigation schedules. Can also be paired with ICC2 controllers for system-level flow monitoring.

Smart Irrigation Control with ET Input

Hunter offers two EPA WaterSense-certified ET solutions for state-of-the-art smart irrigation control:

Solar Sync

  • On-site wired or wireless sensor
  • Adjusts station run times based on solar intensity and temperature
  • Includes built-in rain and freeze sensors

Hydrawise

  • Adjusts station watering duration and frequency based on hyperlocal weather data
  • Prevents unnecessary watering with customized predictive watering and forecasting
  • Includes remote irrigation monitoring and management

Sensor Wiring

For projects requiring more sensor inputs than a controller allows, a sensor can be installed as a common wire interrupt. This method is best suited for Soil-Clik and Flow-Clik Sensors.
