Use a standard RJ-45 Ethernet connection (T-568A or T-568B) and CAT-5e cable or higher. 2. Connect the Ethernet cable on one end to the SDX- 1000 and the other end to a standalone Ethernet network switch. Make sure both ends of the cable are manufactured using either the T-568A or T-568B standard a shown above. Both ends of cable must follow the same standard. SDX-1000 must be on an stand alone Ethernet network. Do not install on a network that is exposed to non Ebtron approved devices, including the B.A.S. 3. Connect power using the provided 12VDC power adapter. USB port is used for system and application updates, and certain SDX-1000 features.
