Product Description

This fan coil line offers exceptional application flexibility, suitable for upflow, downflow, horizontal right, or horizontal left configurations. All JCI Unitary Products air handlers and coils can utilize a TXV (Thermostatic Expansion Valve) for optimal performance and refrigerant control. Single-piece air handlers are available with 'Flex-coils' for field installation of an R-22 or R-410A TXV or piston to meet specific refrigerant requirements. Some models are available with a factory-installed TXV.

  • Thermoset Drain Pan: Features a positive slope for drainage, reducing potential for mold or contaminants.
  • Factory Sealed: Achieves 2% or less total airflow leakage at specified test conditions for system airflow verification.
  • Enhanced Filter Rack: Integrated internal filter racks accommodate 1" thick standard size filters.
  • Electric Heat Kits: 6HK series of field-installed electric heat kits are available for easy installation and service.
  • Cabinet Air Leakage: Less than 2.0% at 1.0 inch esp., tested per ASHRAE standard 193.
  • Blowers: All models use direct-drive, standard ECM motors.

Accessories

Various accessories are available, including TXV Kits (for field installation on Flex-coils), Combustible Floor Base Accessories (S1-1FB1917, S1-1FB1921, S1-1FB1924) for downflow installations on combustible floors, Breaker Moisture Seal Accessories (S1-02435672000) to protect circuit breakers from humidity and dust, and compatible Coleman touch screen thermostats.

Limitations

Units must be wired and installed according to all national and local safety codes. Voltage limits are specified, with a normal operating voltage range of 187-253V for 208/230-1-60 systems. Airflow must remain within approved limits for electric heat, evaporator coils, and outdoor units.

1. Air handler units have been tested to UL 1995 / CSA 22.2 No.236 standards up to 0.50" wc. external static pressure. 2. Dry coil conditions only, tested without filters. For optimal performance, external static pressures of 0.2" to 0.5" are recommended. Heating applications tested at 0.50" w.c. esp. Airflow data shown is from testing performed at 230V. AE units use a standard ECM constant torque motor, and there is minimal variation of airflow at other distribution voltage values. The above data can be used for airflow at other distribution voltages.
