This manual provides information on the X-Sense Pro SBS50 Base Station, a key component of the X-Sense home security system.

Product Overview

The X-Sense home security system offers security monitoring and remote control of home devices via the X-Sense Home Security app. The base station acts as the hub, connecting devices to the app for control from anywhere.

Device Setup

Download the X-Sense Home Security App

Download the app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store by searching for "X-Sense Home Security". Ensure your smartphone runs on iOS 11 and above, or Android 8.0 and above. Sign up with a valid email address or log in if you have an existing account.

Note: Ensure the app is updated to the latest version.

Before connecting devices, make sure that:

  1. You know your Wi-Fi network name and password.
  2. You are connecting using a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network (5 GHz is not supported).
  3. Bluetooth on your phone is turned on.

Note: For faster Wi-Fi configuration, keep your mobile phone and devices close to the router.

Connecting the Base Station to the Network

  1. Connect the base station to a power source using the power adapter.
  2. In the app, tap "⊕", select "Base Stations", then "Base Station (SBS50)". Scan the QR code on the bottom of the base station.
  3. Name the base station and select or create a home. Assign it to a room. If creating a new home, provide a name and country/region.
  4. Press and hold the Pair button on the base station for 5 seconds until the LED indicator flashes yellow rapidly, indicating it's ready to connect to Wi-Fi.
  5. Tap "Operation Confirmed" and then "Next". The app will search for nearby Bluetooth devices.
  6. Enter your Wi-Fi name and password, then tap "Next" to add the device. You will hear "connecting to Wi-Fi".
  7. Upon successful connection, you will hear "Wi-Fi connected", and the "Device Added" page will appear. The LED indicator will be solid blue. The base station will now be listed in your device list.

Troubleshooting

Problem Cause Solution
The base station failed to connect to the network. Incorrect Wi-Fi name and/or password. Phone Bluetooth is not turned on. Base station not in pairing mode. Enter the correct Wi-Fi name and password. Turn on phone's Bluetooth. Press and hold the Pair button for 5 seconds until the LED flashes yellow to enter pairing mode.
App push notification is delayed or there are no push alerts. App push notification permission is disabled. Base station is not within the network coverage of the router. Enable push notification permission on the phone. Ensure the base station is within 164 ft (50 m) of the router and reduce obstacles.
Communication between device and base station is unstable or they are too far apart. Obstacles between devices. Maximum distance in open environment is 1,640 ft (500 m). Reduce obstacles. Ensure devices are within the specified range.
The alarm sound is low. Volume level is set too low. Adjust the alarm volume in the base station settings.
The app shows the base station is offline. Wi-Fi connection between base station and router is disconnected. Base station is powered off. Ensure the network connection is normal. Ensure the base station is powered on.

Environmental Protection

Do not dispose of waste electrical products with household waste. Recycle where facilities are available. Contact local authorities or retailers for recycling advice.
