Product compliance and safety UNDERFLOOR HEATING 1. Thermostat mounting Install the Quantum dial thermostat approximately 1.5m above the floor level. It should be mounted in a location where the thermostat is easily accessible and away from direct sunlight. For wall mounting, mark the correct position on the wall then mount the rear case to the wall. Gently remove the front housing and make the wiring connections. 2. Terminal connection Note: You can wire the thermostat directly to the Quantum wiring centre. L 230VAC 50Hz L N CO N 25 30ºC ACTUATOR EXTERNAL CLOCK E.G. HEAT PUMP L CO N 25 30ºC UNDERFLOOR HEATING 3. Switching bridges Quantum dial thermostat switching bridges Switch Feature ON OFF VP Valve protection feature PWM Pulse-Width-Modulation 2°C NSB Function (2° or 4°) 4°C Different features of the Quantum dial thermostat can be switched ON or OFF with the jumpers. 4. Jumpers The jumpers from 1 to 5 represent the number of actuators that you can connect to the thermostat. After the actuators are mounted, move the jumper to the correct number of actuators. Depending on the amount of actuators used, you need to change the jumper position accordingly to compensate for the power consumption. 5. Thermostat functions NSB (Night Setback) Function 0V = NSB OFF 230V = NSB ON The NSB signal is activated every 1 second. When the signal is received the setpoint temperature will be set at ±2°C or ±4°C. UNDERFLOOR HEATING 6. Protection function Heat cut off at high temperature: When the room temperature is over 36°C, all heating outputs will be turned off. Valve protection: Set the jumper to `ON' to disable the function or on `OFF' to enable it. Turn on the valve for 5 minutes every week to prevent damage to the valve. Sensor malfunction: If the temperature sensor or temperature sensor compensation is open, the LED will flash alternate BLUE / RED. 7. Product compliance and safety Product compliance This product complies with the essential requirements and other relevant provisions of Directives 2014/30/ EU, 2014/35/EU, 2014/53/EU and 2011/65/EU.
