Operation and safety notes
Introduction
Congratulations on the purchase of your new SilverCrest Hand Blender. This manual contains important information regarding safety, use, and disposal. Please familiarize yourself with these instructions before using the product.
Intended Use: This product is suitable for puréeing and mixing soups and other food. It is designed for domestic use only and not for commercial use. Any other use may cause damage to the product or lead to serious injury. The manufacturer is not liable for damages caused by improper use.
Scope of Delivery: Upon unpacking, check if the delivery is complete and all parts are in good condition. Remove all packaging materials before use. The delivery includes: 1x Drive unit, 1x Blender, 1x Short manual.

Safety Instructions
General Warnings:

Children and Persons with Disabilities:
- WARNING! RISK OF LOSS OF LIFE OR ACCIDENT TO INFANTS AND CHILDREN! Never leave children unsupervised with packaging material. Keep children away from the product and packaging material at all times.
- This product shall not be used by children. Keep the product and its cord out of reach of children.
- The product can be used by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and if they understand the hazards involved.
- Children shall not play with the product.
Electrical Safety:
- DANGER! Risk of electric shock! Never attempt to repair the product yourself. Repairs must be conducted by qualified personnel only.
- WARNING! Risk of electric shock! Do not immerse the product's electrical components in water or other liquids. Never hold the product under running water.
- WARNING! Risk of electric shock! Never use a damaged product. Disconnect the product from the power supply and contact your retailer if it is damaged.
- WARNING! Risk of electric shock! Do not use the product next to a sink or in moist areas.
- Before connecting the product to the power supply, check that the voltage and current rating corresponds with the power supply details shown on the product's rating label.
- To avoid damaging the power cord, do not squeeze, bend or chafe it on sharp edges. Keep it away from hot surfaces and open flames.
- If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified persons.
- Pull the power plug and not the cable itself to disconnect the product from the power supply.
- Do not wrap the power cord around the product. Connect the product to an easily reachable electrical outlet so that in case of an emergency the product can be unplugged immediately.
- Do not operate the product with wet hands.
Operation
WARNING! Potential injury from misuse. Care shall be taken when handling the sharp cutting blades, emptying the containers and during cleaning.
- If you notice any smoke or unusual noises, immediately disconnect the product from the power supply and have it checked by a specialist before continued use.
- Always operate the product on an even, stable and clean surface.
- Always disconnect the appliance from the power supply if it is left unattended and before assembling, disassembling or cleaning.
- WARNING! Switch off the appliance and disconnect from power supply before changing accessories or approaching parts that move in use.
- The product shall only be used with the supplied accessory.
Before First Use:
- Remove all packaging materials.
- Clean the product (see "Cleaning and care").
Assembly (Fig. B):
- Put the blender 3 on the drive unit 2. The alignment marks on the drive unit must align with the marks on the blender.
- Turn the blender 3 until it aligns with the mark.
- Dismount the blender 3 in reverse order.
Turning the Product On/Off:
- WARNING! The product has an initial rotary impulse. Hold the product firmly during operation.
- NOTES: With this product you can prepare dips, sauces, soups or baby food. We suggest using the product for a maximum of 1 minute at a time and then letting it cool down. Let the product rest at least 2 minutes between cycles. After 5 continuous operation cycles, let the product cool to room temperature before reusing it.
- 1. Put the blender 3 on the drive unit 2.
- 2. Add the food into a suitable container (e.g., a measuring cup).
- 3. Connect the power plug 5 to a suitable mains socket.
- 4. Puréeing and mixing food: Press and hold the button 1.
- 5. After use: Wait until the blender 3 has come to a complete halt. Disconnect the power plug 5 from the mains socket.
Cleaning and Care
DANGER! Risk of electric shock! Before cleaning and maintenance, disconnect the power plug 5 from the mains socket.
NOTE: To maintain the product's functionality and appearance, it should be cleaned thoroughly after each use.

Before continued use and storage: Rub all parts dry with a clean cloth.
Maintenance:
- Before each use: Check the product for any visible damage.
- Apart from occasional cleaning, the product is maintenance-free.
Storage:
- When not in use, store the product in its original packaging.
- Store the product in a dry, secure location away from children.
Disposal:
- The packaging is made entirely of recyclable materials, which you may dispose of at local recycling facilities. Observe the marking of the packaging materials for waste separation (a, b).
- Contact your local refuse disposal authority for more details of how to dispose of your worn-out product.
- To help protect the environment, please dispose of the product properly when it has reached the end of its useful life and not in the household waste. Information on collection points and their opening hours can be obtained from your local authority.
Warranty
The product has been manufactured to strict quality guidelines and meticulously examined before delivery. Your legal rights against the retailer are not limited by this warranty.
The warranty for this product is 3 years from the date of purchase. Keep the original sales receipt as proof of purchase.
Any damage or defects present at the time of purchase must be reported without delay after unpacking the product.
Should the product show any fault in materials or manufacture within 3 years from the date of purchase, SilverCrest will repair or replace it – at their choice – free of charge. The warranty period is not extended as a result of a claim being granted. This also applies to replaced and repaired parts.
This warranty becomes void if the product has been damaged, or used or maintained improperly. The warranty covers material or manufacturing defects but does not cover parts subject to normal wear and tear (consumables) or damage to fragile parts.
Warranty Claim Procedure:
- Ensure you have the original sales receipt and the item number (IAN 461466_2310) available.
- If functional or other defects occur, contact the service department listed below by telephone or e-mail.
- Once the product has been recorded as defective, you can return it free of charge to the service address that will be provided. Ensure to enclose the proof of purchase and a short, written description outlining the details of the defect and when it occurred.
