How to Use the Salon Ceramic

IMPORTANT: Hair that has been heavily bleached or chemically treated should only use the low heat setting on this product. Please consult your hairdresser on using heated appliances if you have any concerns about the condition of your hair.

CAUTION: This is a high-heat appliance. Care must be taken to avoid the hot surfaces of the appliance coming into contact with the skin (e.g. scalp, neck ears, face, etc.) as the straightener can, particularly if held too close, cause discomfort or even burn.

Switch Activation Control

This appliance features delayed activation control. Immediately after turning on the appliance, select the desired temperature. After the first 5 seconds of being on, the temperature buttons will automatically lock.

To adjust any settings, hold down the '+' or '-' for 2 seconds, deactivating the lock mode to change temperatures.

To turn off the appliance whilst in lock mode, hold down the button marked 'I/O' for 1 second until the unit switches off.

Operating Instructions

Wash, condition & dry your hair as normal.

Ensure your hair is combed through & tangle-free.

  1. Plug your straightener into a suitable power outlet.
  2. Place your straightener on a heat protective, flat level surface.
  3. Press the 'I/O' button to turn your straightener on. The temperature display will illuminate & the straightener will default to 205°C as the care setting for most hair types.
  4. To adjust the heat setting hold down the '+' or '-' button for 2 seconds & switch between the '+' & '-' buttons until desired heat setting is selected.
  5. The red temperature lights will flick on and off to the selected temperature to indicate the straightener is heating. Once the temperature is reached they will remain solid in colour.
  6. Divide your hair into 4 sections (2 back & 2 front).
  7. Starting with the back sections at the nape of the neck, take a horizontal section no wider than the plate of the straightener & clamp the plates over the section then glide down slowly & evenly.
  8. Repeat this through all sections.
  9. After use, turn your straightener off by pressing the 'I/O' button for 1 second until the red LED light turns off.

Allow straightener to cool before storing.

Variable Heat Settings

Please ensure you choose the required temperature setting according to your particular need & hair type.

TEMPERATURE SETTINGS HAIR TYPE
LOW 160°C Delicate, fine, bleached hair
MEDIUM 175°C Average to thick treated hair
MEDIUM/HIGH 190°C Normal, thick or wavy hair
HIGH 205°C Care setting for medium thickness hair types
HIGH/MAXIMUM 205°C - 220°C Thick or wavy hair types
MAXIMUM 235°C Hard to straighten, very thick curly hair

NB: The heat-up time will vary depending on which temperature setting you select. It is suggested to use the lower heat settings when using the appliance for the first time.

Automatic Shut-Off

This straightener has an automatic shut-off feature for added safety. If the straightener is switched on for more than 72 minutes continuously, it will automatically switch off. If you wish to continue using the straightener after this time, simply press the on/off button again to turn the power on.

How to Style with the Salon Ceramic Straightener

Start with clean & dry, thoroughly combed through hair. Apply a heat spray for extra protection & longer lasting results. Straighten your hair in sections ensuring you go over each section once to get that gorgeous, silky finish. If you are needing to go over the section more than once, creating thinner sections will help create straight hair in the first glide.

Volume

Create volume by making a curved movement with your wrist as you glide the straightener down the hair section.

Expert Tip

Set your style by finishing with a spritz of light hold hair spray, for extra hold if needed.
