Getting Started
Ensure that you have gathered all the required materials that are needed for the installation.
For Your Safety
WARNING: Be sure the electricity to the wires you are working on is shut off, either the fuse is removed or the circuit breaker is shut off. You don't need special tools to install this fixture. Be sure to follow the steps in the order given. Under no circumstances should a fixture be hung on house electrical wires, nor should a swag type fixture be installed on a ceiling which contains a radiant type heating system. Read instructions carefully; if you are unclear as to how to proceed, consult a qualified electrician.
Care Instructions
To clean, wipe fixture with a soft cloth. Clean glass with a mild soap. Do not use abrasive materials such as scouring pads or powders, steel wool or abrasive paper.

Installation Guide
-
Step 1 (Fig. 1)
Push fixture wires up through the bottom of loop (M). Pull fixture wires taut. Screw loop (M) onto the top of the fixture body (O).
Figure 1 shows the top assembly of the pendant light, illustrating how to thread the wires through the loop (M) and attach the loop to the main fixture body (O). -
Step 2 (Fig. 1)
Connect one locking link (G) to loop (M).
This step involves attaching a chain connector (G) to the previously attached loop (M). -
Step 3 (Fig. 2)
Determine desired hanging height of fixture. Cut chain (H) to length to achieve desired height.
Figure 2 shows the chain (H) and indicates that its length can be adjusted to achieve the desired hanging height. -
Step 4 (Fig. 2)
Slip chain link at end of chain (H) onto locking link (G) on loop (M).
This connects the adjusted chain (H) to the fixture's loop (M) via the locking link (G). -
Step 5 (Fig. 2)
Weave fixture wires through chain links, skipping every other chain link.
The wires are routed internally through the chain (H). -
Step 6 (Fig. 2)
Push fixture wires through hole in canopy (D).
The wires are passed through the canopy (D) which will cover the ceiling connection. -
Step 7 (Fig. 2)
Attach locking link (G) to last link on chain (H) and to loop on canopy (D).
This connects the chain assembly to the canopy (D). -
Step 8 (Fig. 2)
Carefully pull house wires down out of junction box so house wires are easily accessible to connect fixture wires.
Figure 2 shows house wires emerging from a junction box, indicating the need to pull them down for connection. -
Step 9 (Fig. 3)
Position mounting bracket (A) so threaded ends of attached fixture mounting screws (E) are facing down towards floor.
Figure 3 illustrates the mounting bracket (A) being aligned with the junction box, with screws (E) oriented correctly. -
Step 10 (Fig. 3)
Carefully pull house wires through center hole in mounting bracket (A).
Wires are passed through the central opening of the mounting bracket (A). -
Step 11 (Fig. 3)
Align holes in mounting bracket (A) with holes in junction box. Thread junction box screws (B) into holes in mounting bracket (A) and into holes in junction box. Tighten junction box screws (B) to secure mounting bracket (A) to junction box.
Figure 3 shows the bracket (A) being screwed into the junction box using screws (B). -
Step 12
Strip 3/4" (19.05 mm) of insulation from the ends of fixture wires.
Steps 12-14 involve wire preparation and connection. Figure 3 provides a detailed wiring diagram. -
Step 13 (Fig. 3)
Connect wires: Twist fixture white wire to house white wire. Secure with a wire nut and wrap with electrical tape. Twist fixture black wire to house black wire. Secure with a wire nut and wrap with electrical tape. Loosen ground screw on mounting bracket (A). Wrap house ground wire around the ground screw, leaving enough slack. Twist fixture ground wire to house ground wire. Secure with a wire nut and wrap with electrical tape. NOTE: If you have electrical questions, consult your local electrical code for approved grounding methods.
Figure 3 provides a detailed wiring diagram. It shows connections for supply wires (Black/Red, White) to fixture wires (Black, White). It also shows the ground screw and the connection of the ground wire. It specifies wire types: parallel wires (round/smooth for hot, square/ridged for neutral) and wires with/without tracers. -
Step 14 (Fig. 4)
After connecting wires, carefully tuck them inside the junction box.
Figure 4 shows wires being tucked into the junction box after connections are made. -
Step 15 (Page 7)
Carefully raise fixture up to ceiling. Place canopy (D) over mounting bracket (A). Align holes in canopy (D) over ends of fixture mounting screws (E).
Figure 4 (on page 7) shows the canopy (D) being placed over the mounting bracket (A) and aligned with screws (E). -
Step 16 (Page 7)
Screw one threaded cap (F) onto each fixture mounting screw (E). Tighten caps (F) to secure the fixture to the ceiling. DO NOT overtighten.
This step uses caps (F) to secure the canopy (D) to the mounting screws (E). -
Step 17 (Page 7)
Ensure clips along the top inside of the cage (O) are pressed upward to allow glass panels (K) to fit behind them.
Figure 7 shows clips (labeled CLIP) inside the cage (O) that need to be positioned correctly for the glass panels (K). -
Step 18 (Page 7/8)
Carefully place one glass panel (K) inside the cage. Set the bottom edge into the channel along the bottom of one side of the cage. Push the panel against the side. Fit the top edge behind a clip along the top edge of the side. Press the clip down against the panel to hold it in place. Repeat for remaining glass panels (K).
Figures 7 and 8 illustrate the process of inserting glass panels (K) into the fixture's cage, showing how they fit into channels and are secured by clips. -
Step 19 (Page 8)
Screw recommended bulbs (E12 candelabra type, not included) into sockets. Verify correct bulb wattage marked on the socket. WARNING: Do not exceed maximum bulb wattage.
The diagram on page 7 shows the bulb sockets inside the fixture. Step 19 specifies the bulb type and wattage.
