Installation Instructions for Built-in Microwave Oven
This document provides essential information for the safe and correct installation of your built-in microwave oven. Please read all instructions carefully before proceeding.
General Safety and Preparation
Safe operation of this appliance is guaranteed only if it is installed to a professional standard in accordance with these installation instructions. The installer is liable for any damage resulting from incorrect installation.
Check the appliance for damage after unpacking. Do not connect the appliance if it has been damaged in transit.
Proceed in accordance with the installation sheets for installing accessories.
Before starting up the appliance, remove any packaging material and adhesive film from the cooking compartment and the door.
Fitted units must be heat-resistant up to 90°C, and adjacent unit fronts up to 65°C.
Do not install the appliance behind a decorative door or the door of a kitchen unit, as this may cause the appliance to overheat.
Any cut-outs that need to be made in the units should be made before the appliance is installed. Remove any shavings, as they may prevent the electrical components from working properly.
Wear protective gloves ? to avoid cuts. Parts that are accessible during installation may have sharp edges.
All dimensions in the figures are in millimeters (mm).
The following languages are supported in this manual: Czech (cs), Danish (da), German (de), Greek (el), English (en), Spanish (es), Finnish (fi), French (fr), Italian (it), Dutch (nl), Norwegian (no), Polish (pl), Portuguese (pt), Russian (ru), Swedish (sv), Turkish (tr).
Electrical Connection
The appliance is ready to be plugged in and may only be connected to a protective contact socket that has been correctly installed.
Only a qualified electrician may install a socket or replace the connecting cable, taking the appropriate regulations into account.
If the plug is no longer accessible once the appliance has been installed, an all-pin isolating switch with a contact gap of at least 3 mm must be provided for the wiring. When the appliance is installed, protection must be provided against accidental contact in the future.
Cabinetry Requirements
The installation cabinet must not have a back panel behind the appliance.
Minimum installation height: 850 mm.
Ventilation slots and intakes must not be covered.
Appliance Placement Examples:
- Figure 1A: Appliance in a wall-hanging unit (overhead cabinet). This diagram shows a standard cabinet cut-out for a microwave. The cabinet width is 600 mm, and the height is 560+8 mm. The appliance cut-out width is 362+3 mm, requiring a 16 mm clearance.
- Figure 1B: Appliance in a tall unit (full-height cabinet). This diagram shows a different cabinet configuration. The cabinet width is 600 mm, and the height is 560+8 mm, with a minimum depth of 550 mm. The appliance cut-out width is 380+2 mm, requiring a 35 mm clearance.
Installation Steps
Step 1: Prepare the Cabinet
Figure 2 (Mounting Hardware): This illustration displays the necessary mounting hardware, including various brackets and screws, which will be used to secure the appliance.
Figure 3 (Mounting Rail Installation): This diagram shows screws being inserted into the cabinet to attach a mounting rail. This rail will serve as the primary support for the appliance.
Step 2: Install the Appliance
Figure 4 (Appliance Insertion): This diagram illustrates the process of inserting the microwave oven into the prepared cabinet opening. The appliance door is shown open, with arrows indicating it should be pushed into place.
Figure 5 (Securing the Appliance): This diagram shows the appliance fully inserted. It demonstrates how to secure the appliance to the mounting rail using four screws (indicated by '4x') inserted from the front.
Step 3: Electrical Connection and Cable Routing
Figure 2 (Correct/Incorrect Cable Routing): This visual comparison highlights proper cable management. The correct method (marked with ✔️) shows the power cable routed neatly without kinks or pinching. The incorrect method (marked with ❌) shows a pinched or kinked cable, which should be avoided.
Step 4: Verify Dimensions and Brackets
Figures showing 'x' measurement (Page 3): These diagrams detail how the thickness of the cabinet side panel affects the required length 'x' of the mounting screws. For example, with a cabinet thickness of 20-19 mm, 'x' is 126 mm; for 18.5-17.5 mm, 'x' is 133 mm; and for 17-16 mm, 'x' is 140 mm. Similar measurements are provided for the tall unit configuration.
Figure showing bracket types (Page 4): This illustration displays various types of brackets or fixing mechanisms, labeled numerically from 16 to 20. These brackets are used to connect the appliance to the cabinet, and their specific type may depend on the cabinet design or dimensions.
Step 5: Final Checks
Figure showing clearance (Page 5): This diagram indicates a minimum clearance of 3 mm is required around the appliance for proper ventilation and operation.
Note: Ensure the connection cable is not trapped or kinked during installation.
