Diagram Description: The setup involves connecting the right-angle USB-C end of the Stealth cable to the Meta Quest 2 headset and the USB-A end to a USB 3.0 port on the PC. The cable can then be managed by attaching it to the headset's head strap with a Velcro strap.
Troubleshooting
Connection Issues
If your wired link connection is unsuccessful, check the following:
- Ensure Oculus Link is enabled.
- Perform a USB Connection test.
- Verify your graphics card meets PC requirements.
- Confirm your PC drivers are up to date.
- Try logging out and back in, or fully power off and restart your headset.
- Ensure the headset is not low on power.
- Confirm the cable is plugged directly into a USB 3.0/3.1 port. Try another port and test with other devices to check port functionality.
- Ensure Air Link is turned off, as it can affect wired link performance.
Performance Issues (Jittery or Stuttering Screen)
If your connection is not optimal and the screen is jumpy or stuttering, try the following:
- Open the PC app on your computer.
- Select 'Devices' and then 'Meta Quest'.
- Select 'Graphics Preferences' and then choose 'Reset to default'.
- Select 'Save'.
Charging
You can charge your headset while playing games. However, the charging rate is considerably slower during gameplay and will only maintain the battery at a similar percentage to when the headset was turned on and the cable attached. Charging capability and speed depend on your motherboard and PC power supply quality. Most motherboard USB ports provide limited power compared to dedicated chargers. Longer cables may also affect charging speed.
For optimal charging, it is best to charge the headset when it is powered off.
