Flashing Tutorial
(Applicable models: English G3)
1. Download and Unzip Firmware and Flash Tool
Download the following two Google Drive links to get the flashing tool and firmware:
Unzip the downloaded zip file. After unzipping, you will see the following files:
- MX3_EN_G3-V2.18-20250411
- SP_Flash_Tool_exe_Windows_v5.1904
Note: Download the whole file and then unzip it! It won't work without unzipping. If you don't have an unzip tool, download WinRAR or another unzipping tool.
How to unzip: Right-click on the file and select 'Unzip'.
2. Run and Configure Flash Tool
In the Flash Tool folder, find and double-click "Flash_tool.exe" to run it.
Note: After unzipping, the “Flash_tool.exe” file may be mistakenly deleted because it is judged as an unknown source file by Windows Security Center or third-party security software. If so, temporarily turn off Windows protection detection or third-party security software before unzipping. You can also set Flash_tool.exe as a trusted program in your security software. For Windows 10, visit Settings >> Update and Security >> Windows Security Center >> Virus and Threat Protection, find "Protection History", then find "Flash_tool.exe" and restore it.
Step 1: Select Download Agent
Click the first 'choose' button on the right. Navigate to the folder containing the extracted files and select:
- File: SP_Flash_Tool_exe_Windows_v5.1904
- Select: MTK_AllInOne_DA.bin
Then, open it.
Step 2: Select Scatter File
Click the second 'choose' button on the right. Navigate to the firmware folder and select:
- File: MX3_EN_G3-V2.18-20250411
- Select: MT6753_Android_scatter
Then, open it.
Step 3: Select Download Mode
Click the drop-down box for the flash type and select "Format All + Download".
3. Flash G3 Player
Step 1: Start Download
Click the "Download" button. The update tool will be waiting for the device to connect.
Step 2: Connect Device
Turn off the G3 player and connect it to your computer using the supplied USB-A to USB-C cable. The update tool will automatically recognize the connected device and start formatting and updating the firmware. You can monitor the progress via the color progress bar, which will indicate completion up to 100%.
Step 3: Completion Prompt
Once the flashing process is complete, the tool will display a prompt indicating "Download Ok".
Important Notes:
- Please ensure the G3 player is turned off before connecting it to the computer for flashing.
- If there is no response from the progress bar after connecting the device, it may indicate that the Flash tool does not recognize the G3 player. This is often due to the lack of the correct MTK USB driver on the computer.
Driver Installation:
- If you are using Windows 10 or Windows 11, please download the driver from: MTPUSBDriverForWin10.rar
- For other versions of Windows, please contact Innioasis for the corresponding driver.
At this point, the firmware update is complete.
