Installation
1. Preparing for Installation
CAUTION: Always shut off the water supply before removing an existing faucet. Open the faucet handle to relieve pressure and ensure water is completely shut off.
Shut off the water supply, remove the old faucet, and clean the mounting surface. Remove the quick connector (G) from the hose by unscrewing it counterclockwise.
2. Installing the Faucet Assembly
2a. No Escutcheon Installation (Optional): Install the faucet body (A), including supply hoses and sensor cable (1), through the sink hole.
2b. Escutcheon Installation (Optional): Place the escutcheon (C) and gasket (D) on the sink holes. Install the faucet body (A), including supply hoses and sensor cable (1), through the escutcheon (C).
3. Securing the Faucet Assembly
From underneath the sink, secure the faucet assembly using the FastMount™ system (B). Push the FastMount™ system (B) up over the threads until it stops against the sink bottom. Hand-tighten clockwise.
4. Attaching the Quick Connector to the Hose
Pull the hose (1) from the threaded mounting shank. Attach the quick connector (G) by screwing it onto the threaded end of the hose (1) clockwise. Hand-tighten only.
5. Installing the Sensor Cable
NOTE: The side of the control box (H) marked "in" and "out" should face the front of the cabinet.
Connect the data cable (1) to the control box connection (2), aligning the arrows. Ensure a tight connection by firmly pushing them together. Secure by hand-tightening the nut (3) clockwise onto the threaded sensor cable.
CAUTION: Improper connections will prevent the sensor feature from working.
6. Attaching the Quick Connector to the Receiving Block
Connect the hose with the yellow tag to the control box (H) hose with the matching yellow tag. Push firmly until they snap into place.
Connect the hose with the green tag to the control box (H) hose with the matching green tag. Push firmly until they snap into place.
OPTIONAL: To use the faucet without the sensor or power, attach the quick connector (1) to the receiving block (2) to bypass the sensor and operate the faucet manually with the handle.
7. Installing the Batteries
NOTE: This step is for battery installation. If not using batteries, proceed to step 9.
Open the battery housing by squeezing the tabs (1) on the cover (2) and removing it. Install four AA batteries (J), matching positive (+) and negative (-) ends to the markings in the battery pack (I). Ensure negative ends connect to the spring end of the battery slots.
Reinstall the battery pack cover (2) by pushing it up until it snaps into place.
NOTE: If the sensor flashes 10 times continuously and slowly, the batteries are low. Replace the batteries (J).
8. Installation Using the Battery Pack
NOTE: This step is for battery installation.
Drill a hole using a 6mm (15/64 in.) diameter drill bit. Install the battery pack (I) using the provided molly anchor (1) and screw (2).
Insert the battery pack cable (3) into the control box connection (4).
NOTE: After battery installation, the sensor light should flash and the control box should click when your hand is near the sensor. If not, check battery installation.
9. Installation Using the AC Adapter (Not Included)
NOTE: This step is for installation without batteries using an AC adapter. If using batteries, follow step 7 and skip to step 10. The AC adapter can be purchased from Homedepot.com.
Insert the AC adapter cable (1) into the control box port (2). Plug the AC adapter (3) into the power outlet.
NOTE: After AC adapter installation, the sensor light should flash and the control box should click when your hand is near the sensor. If not, check connections.
10. Installing the Weight
Install the weight clip (F) at the point marked "weight here" on the hose (1). Slide the weight (E) onto the clip (F).
11. Making Water Supply Connections
NOTE: The hot side inlet tube is labeled. Avoid twisting or damaging wires.
Thread the supply line nut (1) onto the water supply valve outlet (2) and tighten with a wrench. Do not overtighten.
Operation
1. Flushing and Checking for Leaks
IMPORTANT: After installation, turn on hot and cold water supplies. Check for leaks. Do not lose the gasket (1) in the hose.
Pull the hose assembly out of the spout and remove the spray head by unscrewing it counterclockwise. Hold the hose end down in the sink and turn the faucet to the warm position (mixing hot and cold water).
Flush the water lines for one minute to remove debris. Check for leaks and retighten connections if necessary (do not overtighten). Reinstall the spray head by hand-tightening clockwise.
2. Operating the Sensor
NOTE: The sensor is active only when the handle is in the ON position.
Turn the handle (1) away from the faucet to the full ON position. Activate the sensor (2) by waving your hand within 2-3/8 inches (6 cm) of the sensor to turn on the water.
Moving the handle towards and away from you switches the water flow pattern between cold and hot water.
If the sensor does not work, refer to troubleshooting. To use the faucet without the sensor feature, refer to step 6.
NOTE: For water saving, the water will automatically shut off after 3 minutes of continuous flow.
3. Removing the Quick Connector
If necessary, remove the quick connector (1) by squeezing the tabs (2) on the connector and pulling down.
Care and Cleaning
Wipe down with a damp cloth and dry with a towel. Do not use abrasive cleaners, steel wool, or harsh chemicals, as this will void the warranty.
Troubleshooting
1. Water will not shut off when turning the handle to the OFF position
This indicates a damaged cartridge. Turn off the water supply, remove the handle, and replace the cartridge (1).
2. The light on the sensor is flashing continuously
If the handle is closed, turn it to the ON position and move your hand in the sensor area. If the sensor flashes 10 times continuously and slowly, replace the 4 "AA" batteries (J).
3. The sensor is not activating the water flow
This indicates a damaged control box. Call Glacier Bay customer service for a replacement control box and install it.
4. There is a low flow of water
This could be due to a dirty or damaged washer in the "in" end of the control box. Remove the hose, unscrew the connector, clean or replace the washer, and reassemble.
Alternatively, the screen filter in the spray head may be dirty. Turn off the water supply, unscrew the spray head, and clean the screen filter under running water.
