Initial Setup
Control Panel Functions
The control panel allows for various operations. Key functions are accessed via dedicated buttons and a display screen.
Symbol Key
- UP ARROW: Selects the previous option in a menu.
- DOWN ARROW: Selects the next option in a menu.
- RIGHT ARROW: Scrolls to the next screen.
- LEFT ARROW: Scrolls to the previous screen.
- SELECTION KEYS: Selects functions shown on the display (lower icons).
- Input Keys (0-9, A-Z): Used to enter letters, numbers, and special characters.

Setup Menu Functions
The setup menu provides access to various functions:
- A/C Performance Test: Performs a pressure test on an A/C system with existing refrigerant.
- System Flush: Cleans the station from oil residues for maintenance.
- Tank Fill: Transfers refrigerant from an external tank to the internal tank.
- Refrigerant Tracking: Stores and allows export/deletion of refrigerant data per vehicle.
- Change Oil Type: Flushes the oil injection port for oil changes.
Settings Menu
- Select Language: Choose the user interface language (default is English).
- Select Units: Set display units to metric or imperial (default is metric).
- Date and Time: Program the current time and date.
- Edit Print Header: Customize information appearing on print summaries.
- Unit Activation: No longer required since 2021.
- Default Vacuum Leak Test Time: Adjust vacuum time for leak tests.
- Set Buzzer: Enable or disable acoustic signals.
- Firmware Update: Upgrade firmware via USB or WiFi.
- WiFi Configuration: Set up the WiFi connection to a network.
- Asanetwork: Activate or deactivate the Asanetwork function.
- Connected Repair: Activate or deactivate the GoBe function.
Maintenance Menu
- Filter Maintenance: Information on filter replacement (mandatory after 68 kg of refrigerant filtered). Displays remaining filter capacity.
- Pump Maintenance: Displays remaining time until next vacuum pump oil change. Recommends oil replacement with filter replacement.
- ISV Purge condition: Displays refrigerant tank pressure and temperature to eliminate non-condensable gases.
- Calibration Check: Checks the internal scale calibration.
- Display Title Info: Activate or deactivate station pressure display.
- System Information: Displays the station software revision level.
- Service Menu: Reserved for Robinair service centers.
- Production Menu: Reserved for Robinair technicians.
Initial Setup Procedures
Removing Transportation Packaging
- Remove bands wrapping the cardboard.
- Remove the cardboard.
- Lift one side of the unit to remove the front wheels from the base.
- Cautiously pull the unit from the rear handle, ensuring a firm grip.
- Lower the unit slowly from the pallet, avoiding sudden bumps.
- Remove the cardboard containing accessory kits and remove accessories.
- Check the rear storage for optional extras like calibration weight.
Unpack the Accessory Kit
Unpack the accessory kit, remove plastic packaging, and install the oil drain bottle. Lubricate the bottle neck before installation.
Accessories included:
- Calibration weight 533 g (optional)
- Service hoses (2)
- Three bottles: oil drain, PAG and POE oil bottles
- Power cable
- User manual
- External cylinder adapters for tank filling (2)
Service Hoses Connection
Connect the included service hoses to the high pressure (HP) and low pressure (LP) quick connections.
Add Oil to the Bottles
- Fill the 2 bottles and the oil drain bottle with PAG or POE compressor oil to the "MAX FILL" line.
- Fill the fresh oil bottle with the correct compressor oil (PAG or POE).
- When prompted by the software, connect the correct fresh oil bottle (PAG or POE) to the right quick release coupling port.
- Connect the oil drain bottle to the left quick release coupling port.
Power Up the Machine
- Place the station so the plug and power switch are accessible. Ensure the ventilation grille is unobstructed.
- Lock the front wheels.
- Press the main power supply switch ON.
Language Selection
Use the Up/Down arrow buttons to scroll through available languages and select your preferred language. The default is English.
Note: Upon first startup, a license agreement must be accepted.
Unit of Measurement Selection
Use the Up/Down arrow buttons to select between metric and imperial units. Press Select to confirm.
Setting the Date and Time
Use the arrow buttons to move the cursor and the keypad to change the displayed information (day, month, year, time). Press Select to save.
Edit Print Header
Enter text for the print header using the arrow buttons and keypad. The backspace key (☑) erases characters. Arrow keys navigate rows, and the Zero (0) key acts as a space bar. Press Select to save.
Automatic Internal Clearing
The station cleans its inner hoses. Connect service hoses to flushing connections and turn ring nuts clockwise. Press Select to start. A progress bar indicates completion time.
Programming the Oil Injection
Select the viscosity of the oil (PAG or POE) to be used (e.g., 46, 100, 125) using the I/O key and Select. Press Select to complete.
Tank Filling
This procedure transfers refrigerant from an external cylinder to the internal tank (capacity 8.8 kg).
- Use arrow buttons and keypad to enter the desired amount of refrigerant.
- Important: Add at least 4 kg for initial fill.
- Connect the low pressure service hose (blue) to the liquid fitting on the external cylinder.
- Open the valve on the hose connection clockwise.
- Ensure the external cylinder is positioned for liquid refrigerant flow.
- Open the external tank valve.
- Select to start filling the internal tank. This may take up to 30 minutes.
The Home screen appears upon completion.
WiFi Configuration
- Insert the WiFi dongle (optional) into the USB connector.
- Turn on the station to pair the dongle with WiFi.
- From the Main Menu, navigate to Settings > WiFi Configuration.
- Select "Search WiFi Networks" to display available networks.
- Select your network, enter the WiFi password, and confirm. Wait for connection establishment.
The ACS unit will indicate successful connection.
