Computer Setup

macOS

  2. Right-click on the sound icon in the system tray (usually in the bottom-right corner of the taskbar) and select "Sounds". (This opens the Sound control panel).
  3. Click the "Recording" tab and select the "TONOR TM20 Audio Device", then click on the "Set Default" button. (Ensure the microphone is enabled and set as the default recording device).

FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions)

  1. If the computer cannot identify USB devices:
    • Re-plug the microphone into other USB ports.
    • Restart the computer.
    • Re-plug the microphone into another computer's USB port to test functionality.
  2. If the microphone is recognized but no sound comes out:
    • macOS System: Check if "System Sound" is muted and if the microphone's volume control is set to the minimum.
    • Windows System: Go to Settings > Privacy > Microphone, click "Allow apps to access the microphone" to ON, then restart the computer.
  3. If buzz or electric sound is found:
    • Unplug the microphone and then plug it in again. Ensure all interfaces are plugged in tightly.
    • Restart your computer or insert the microphone into another USB jack.
    • Record an audio sample to check if the issue is caused by the surrounding environment or interference from other electronic devices.

    • The microphone volume should not be too high. It is recommended to set the microphone volume at 88%.
