Getting Started
Turn on your Chromebook
Press the power button. A "Welcome" screen will appear when the Chromebook first boots up.
Select your language settings
Use the "Language" drop-down list to choose your default language. You may be prompted to select a keyboard input method if multiple options exist.
Connect to a network
Select a network from the "Connect to network" list to connect to the Internet. You will need an access password for protected networks.
Accept the Terms of Service
Once connected, accept the Terms of Service. Your Chromebook will download system updates to ensure you have the latest ChromeOS features.
First-time sign-in
Create a new Google Account
If you don't have a Google Account, select "Create a Google Account" to set one up. A Google Account provides access to Google services like Gmail, Google Drive, and Google Calendar.
Browse as a guest
You can use the Chromebook without a Google Account by selecting "Browse as a Guest".

Front view
The front view includes:
- 1 Microphones: Internal microphones for sound recording.
- 2 Webcam shutter: Slide left to cover the webcam, slide right to open it.
- 3 Webcam: Web camera for video communication. A light next to the webcam indicates it is active.
- 4 Touchscreen: Displays Chromebook output and supports multi-touch input.
Keyboard view
The keyboard view includes:
- 1 Speaker: Delivers stereo audio output.
- 2 Keyboard: For entering data into your Chromebook.
- 3 Fingerprint reader (optional): For unlocking your Chromebook.
- 4 Touchpad / click button: A touch-sensitive pointing device that functions like a Chromebook mouse. Pressing down anywhere on the pad functions like the left button. Pressing down with two fingers functions like the right button.
Function keys
Function keys and key combinations access hardware and software controls like screen brightness and volume.

Touchpad
The built-in touchpad senses movement, allowing the cursor to respond to your finger movements.

Drag and drop | Select an item with one finger, move it with a second finger, and release both fingers to drop it. (Works for files, not windows or icons.) |

USB Type-C information

- Compatible with Thunderbolt™ 4.
- Delivers up to 3 A at 5 V DC for USB charging.
- DC-in: requires a power adapter or power source providing 65 W at 5~20 V.
For optimal performance, use a certified Acer power adapter or USB Power Delivery device.
Right view
The right view includes ports:

Rechargeable Active Stylus
The rechargeable active stylus can be charged by inserting it into the designated slot.
Charge pin
Insert the stylus into the slot completely to start charging.
- 15 minutes of charging provides 4 hours of usage.
- If the function feels unstable, please insert the stylus into the slot to charge it.
- The pen enters power-saving mode when idle. After 2 minutes of inactivity, move the tip over the touchscreen to wake the pen.

Usage Modes
Your Chromebook features multiple usage modes to fit your needs:
