How to connect the TV Connector to Moxi All
For the first-time connection to a power source, the TV Connector connects automatically to the Moxi All hearing aid(s) when they are within a 3-foot range. The patient will hear a confirmation melody in their Moxi All hearing aid(s) once paired.
Once the audio source is on, the audio signal transmits directly to the Moxi All hearing aids via the TV Connector. A high-quality audio signal is guaranteed within a 45-foot range. Moxi All hearing aids automatically connect to the TV broadcast program once a signal is detected.
To connect new Moxi All hearing aid(s) to the TV Connector:
- Press the connect button on the back of the TV Connector; the LED indicator light will blink blue.
- Ensure the Moxi All hearing aid(s) are within a 3-foot range from the TV Connector.
How to answer Bluetooth® phone calls with Moxi All
When the phone rings, accept the call with a short press of the push button on either hearing aid. A long press (over 2 seconds) rejects the call or sends it to voicemail.
Phone calls on a mobile phone:
Moxi All allows direct communications with Bluetooth® compatible phones (hands-free classic profile). When paired and connected to a phone, the patient hears the caller's voice directly from the hearing aids. The hearing aids also pick up the patient's voice using their own microphones.
Daily use of the TV Connector and Moxi All
Balance of the environment:
While listening with Moxi All hearing aids and the TV Connector or a mobile phone, the patient can adjust the balance between sounds from the audio source (TV or phone) and the surrounding environment using the hearing aid microphones.
How to adjust the balance between mobile phone calls, the TV Connector, and the surrounding environment:
While on a call on a mobile phone:
- Short press the push button of the right ear hearing aid to increase the volume of the call and reduce environmental sound.
- Short press the push button of the left ear hearing aid to decrease the volume of the call and increase environmental sound.
Adjusting the volume balance between the television and the environment:
- Short press the push button of the right ear hearing aid to increase the volume of the television and decrease environmental sound.
- Short press on the push button of the left ear hearing aid to decrease the volume of the television and increase the environmental sound.
What are the specific changes brought about by the environmental balance?
When a patient adjusts the balance between the TV/phone and the surrounding environment, they are adjusting the gain/attenuation. The graph below illustrates the changes in environmental sounds (cyan bars) and TV/phone signal (black bars) during balance adjustments.
The balance of the environment is also accessible via the smartphone Remote Plus app, which supports both Android™ and iOS™ platforms (when using the TV Connector).
Unitron TrueFit™ fitting software configuration
Moxi All is compatible with the new TV Connector accessory and Bluetooth® enabled phones. The push buttons have different functions depending on the program. Users can opt to display detailed push button information.
The default configuration is recommended to ensure the patient can accept/reject calls.
This screen shows actions triggered by short and long presses in three situations: SoundNav automatic program, TV Connector program, and the Bluetooth® phone program.
When programming Moxi All devices using Unitron TrueFit, assign the Bluetooth® Phone ear before closing the software.
