Thank you for choosing a Hama product. Please read these instructions carefully and keep them in a safe place for future reference. If you sell the device, pass these instructions on to the new owner.
1. Explanation of Warning Symbols and Notes

2. Here's how easy it is:
Download the app
- Download the Hama Smart Home APP from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
- Open the Hama Smart Home APP.
- The first time you use the app, you need to register and create a new account. If you already have an account, log in with your access details.
- Follow the instructions in the app.

Getting started
- Open the battery compartment by twisting the cover on the back of the sensor anticlockwise, insert the batteries observing the correct polarity and hold the black button down for 5 seconds. The LED on the front starts to flash quickly.

4. Safety instructions
- The product is intended for private, non-commercial use only.
- Protect the product from dirt, moisture and overheating and use it in dry environments only.
- If the product is to be operated outdoors, it may be operated only in protected outdoor areas.
- Do not attempt to service or repair the product yourself. Leave any and all service work to qualified experts.
- Do not continue to operate the product if it is visibly damaged.
- As with all electrical products, this device should be kept out of the reach of children.
- Use the product only for the intended purpose.
- Do not use the product in the immediate vicinity of heaters, other heat sources or in direct sunlight.
- Do not use the product in areas in which electronic products are not permitted.
- Do not drop the product and do not expose it to any major shocks.
- Do not modify the product in any way. Doing so voids the warranty.
- Keep the packaging material out of the reach of children due to the risk of suffocation.
- Dispose of packaging material immediately in accordance with the locally applicable regulations.
- Do not operate the product outside the power limits given in the specifications.
- Do not open the device or continue to operate it if it becomes damaged.
- Only use the article under moderate climatic conditions.
- Before mounting, check that the wall you have chosen is suitable for the weight to be mounted. Also make sure that there are no electric, water, gas or other lines running through the wall at the mounting site.
Warning - Batteries
- When inserting batteries, note the correct polarity (+ and - markings) and insert the batteries accordingly. Failure to do so could result in the batteries leaking or exploding.
- Only use batteries (or rechargeable batteries) that match the specified type.
- Before you insert the batteries, clean the battery contacts and the polarity contacts.
- Do not allow children to change batteries without supervision.
- Do not mix old and new batteries, or batteries of different types or from different manufacturers.
- Remove the batteries from products that are not being used for an extended period (unless these are being kept ready for an emergency).
- Do not short-circuit batteries.
- Do not charge batteries.
- Do not burn batteries.
- Keep batteries out of the reach of children.
- Never open, damage or swallow batteries or allow them to enter the environment. They can contain toxic, environmentally harmful heavy metals.
- Remove spent batteries from the product and dispose of them without delay.
- Avoid storing, charging and using in extreme temperatures and at extremely low atmospheric pressures (such as at high altitudes).
5. Installation
Warning - installation with adhesive
- All parts are suitable only for use indoors. Do not install outdoors.
- Be aware that the intended mounting surface must be free from dust and grease. Use a suitable cleaner from a specialist retailer for this.
- Be aware that the adhesive pads are intended to be permanent. Carefully pull the adhesive pad off the mounting surface to remove it.
- Various environmental influences, such as moisture in the air, sunlight, cold, etc., can impair the long-term stickiness of the adhesive pads.
- Possible residue on the mounting surface after removal of the adhesive pads cannot be ruled out!
6. Battery operation
- Turn the cover on the back of the sensor anticlockwise to open the battery compartment.
- Remove the spent batteries and dispose of them if required. Now insert the two CR123A batteries supplied. Take care to ensure the correct polarity as shown in the diagrams in the battery compartment.
- Replace the cover on the back of the sensor and turn it this time clockwise until it locks into place.
- The LED on the motion detector now flashes quickly.
- If the LED does not flash quickly, remove the cover from the back and hold the pairing button for around 5 seconds.
7. Mains operation
- For operation via USB, connect a micro-USB cable (not included in the scope of delivery) with the micro-USB socket and a suitable USB power supply unit (not included in the scope of delivery).
- Connect the power supply unit to a properly installed socket. Only operate the product from a socket that has been approved for the device. The socket must be installed close to the product and must be easily accessible. Be aware that, if using a USB power supply, no batteries must be inserted.
The sensor can be in used in battery mode and via USB.
7.1 Integrating devices into the app Hama Smart Home
- Press and hold the pairing button for around 5 seconds. The LED starts to flash red quickly. If it flashes slowly, press and hold the button again for approx. 5 seconds.
- Open the app and sign in.
- Press the "+" in the top right-hand corner to add a new device.
- Choose Sensors from the list.
- Next enter your WiFi password and confirm with "NEXT".
- Now confirm that the sensor is flashing quickly by ticking "Next step" and clicking on "Next".
- Your sensor is now connected.
- Once the connection is successful, the LED stops flashing quickly and the app confirms that your sensor is connected. You can now assign it a different name if you wish.
- Click Finish to end the process.
- You can now attach the sensor and configure it.

8. Setting options
The following settings can be made in the app:
1 History of triggered alarms
2 Setting of the alarm range
3 Battery indicator
Alarm management options: When the settings are activated, you will receive a push notification as information on your smartphone. For extended usage options, scenarios can be created in the app. (See Section 7 and App Guide)
9. Extended usage options with scenarios
Scenarios and automated sequences that can be created in the app allow various combination options and usage options for these products, depending on the SmartHome products in your home. Programming is always via the app (see Section 4 of the App Guide) and will be offered / suggested to you on an individual basis.
Standard usage option

Product characteristics
The motion sensor can be used for monitoring (push message to the smartphone when triggered) or for controlling other smart products (e.g. lamps).

11. Disposal instructions
