CHECKLINE 10A Front Panel
The front panel features:
- ON/OFF Switch: Powers the speaker on/off.
- AC MAINS: Power input connector for the supplied power cable. Ensure voltage compatibility (100-240Vac, 50/60 Hz +/- 10%).
- AC LINK: Connector for powering other stage monitors to reduce cable clutter.
- Input A and B: XLR + 1/4" Jack Combo connectors for balanced MIC/Line signals.
- GAIN A and B Selectors: Adjust input gain for Microphone (+37dB) or Line (0dB) signals.
WARNING: Check gain selector position before connecting signals to prevent damage.
CHECKLINE 12A-15A Front Panel
The front panel features:
- ON/OFF Switch: Powers the speaker on/off.
- AC MAINS: Power input connector. Ensure voltage compatibility (100-240Vac, 50/60 Hz +/- 10%).
- AC LINK: Connector for powering other stage monitors.
- Mix Output: Balanced XLR output for connecting to other speakers or audio systems.
- Loop C: Direct balanced XLR output from input C for daisy-chaining multiple monitors with the same signal.
- GAIN B and C Selectors: Adjust input gain for Microphone (+37dB) or Line (0dB) signals.
WARNING: Check gain selector position before connecting signals to prevent damage.
- Input B and C: XLR + 1/4" Jack Combo connectors for balanced MIC/Line signals.
- Volume A, B, C: Adjusts input levels.
- Input A: Stereo unbalanced RCA Line-level connectors.
- LCD Display: Shows audio signal levels and DSP parameters.
- Control Wheel: Adjusts Master Volume, DSP programming, and panel locking.
Cabling and First Setup
Mains Cable
Ensure the power wall socket voltage is 100-240Vac - 50/60 Hz (+/- 10%) before connecting. Disconnect the unit when switched off.
Note on AC Line-Cord: If the original cord is lost, use a three-pin plug with a ground pin. Wire correspondence: Brown (Live/L), Blue (Neutral/N), Yellow/Green (Earth).
ATTENTION: Always connect the earth terminal! Pay attention to your safety!
Installation should be approved by an expert before first use.
Signal Cables
Use appropriate, shielded, and undamaged cables. Damaged or incorrect cables can damage the system.
Balanced XLR Connectors: Pin 1: Ground/Shield, Pin 2: Hot (+), Pin 3: Cold (-). For unbalanced use, Pins 1 and 3 are jumped.
1/4" Jack TRS (Balanced): Used for headphones connection.
1/4" Jack TS (Unbalanced): Used for unbalanced signals.
RCA Connector (Unbalanced): For unbalanced equipment to balanced inputs, ensure ring and collar are connected together (or pins 1 & 3 for XLR).
DSP Operation
The CHECKLINE Series Stage Monitors feature a DSP audio processor for dynamics control, overload/overheating protection, frequency response adjustment, preset recall/creation, and delay up to 100 meters.
The DSP control panel has a graphic LCD display and a Push-to-Enter control wheel.
WARNING: Ensure correct input mode (MIC or LINE) is selected before powering on.
Turn all gain controllers to the left. Switch on the unit; the SOUNDSATION logo will appear during initialization.
The display will then show the home screen, indicating input levels (VU-Meter bars) and master volume.
Panel Locked: Press and hold the control wheel for over 3 seconds to lock/unlock the DSP panel.
Menu Navigation
Press the wheel to enter the menu. Rotate to scroll through pages and parameters. Selected parameters are displayed inverted.
To modify a parameter, select it, press the wheel, then rotate to adjust the value. Press again to confirm.
Note: The display returns to the Home Screen automatically after 6-7 seconds of inactivity.
DSP Parameters
- HI EQ: Adjusts high-frequency equalization (-12 dB to +12 dB).
- MID EQ/MID FREQ: Adjusts mid-frequency equalization (-12 dB to +12 dB) and frequency (70Hz to 12kHz).
- LOW EQ: Adjusts low-frequency equalization (-12 dB to +12 dB).
- PRESETS: Selects operating modes (FLAT, MONITOR).
- LOW CUT: Adjusts the High-Pass filter cutoff frequency (OFF, 80Hz, 100Hz, 120Hz, 150Hz) for use with subwoofers.
- DELAY: Sets delay time (OFF or 0.25 to 100 meters).
- LCD DIM: Controls LCD backlight (OFF = always on, ON = dims after 6 seconds).
- BRIGHT: Adjusts display brightness (0-10).
- CONTRAST: Adjusts display contrast (0-10).
- LOAD PRESET: Loads saved user presets (U1-U5).
- STORE PRESET: Saves current settings to user presets (U1-U5). Allows naming presets.
- FACTORY RESET: Resets the unit to factory settings. WARNING: This will delete all presets!
- INFO: Displays DSP firmware version (e.g., V1.2.0).
- EXIT: Exits DSP editing and returns to the main page.

Warranty and Service
SOUNDSATION products have a limited two-year warranty from the date of purchase.
Not covered:
- Accessories supplied with the product.
- Improper use.
- Wear and tear.
- Modifications by user or third party.
SOUNDSATION will remedy faults by repair or exchange at their discretion. Defective parts become SOUNDSATION property.
Defective products under warranty can be returned to the local SOUNDSATION dealer with proof of purchase. For transit, use original packaging. Alternatively, send to SOUNDSATION SERVICE CENTER – Via Enzo Ferrari, 10 – 62017 Porto Recanati - Italy. An RMA number is required. Shipping costs are the owner's responsibility.
