Class Supplies: Beginner Quilting Class
Orientation Information
PLEASE COME TO THE ORIENTATION. We have had many students purchase items from discount stores or online and without realizing it they have bought the wrong items. These then get replaced or thrown out and we want to give you the best information before you purchase anything. At the orientation we also discuss everything you need to know before you start your class.

Store Hours and Supply Purchase
To help our busy students, the store is open until 5:00 PM six days per week to purchase supplies. If you come extra early to class, you can purchase the supplies you need before the class starts. These supplies are available at the store at the best price we can offer. We also help you pick the best value products for your class so that you do not waste your money.
Required Sewing Supplies
- Sewing machine with cord/pedal and manual
- Sewing machine needle #10
- 1/4" foot for your machine
- Walking foot for your machine
- Rotary cutter
- Seam ripper
- Flat-head pins
- Sharp scissors for snipping thread
- Fabric scissors
- Masking tape or labels or post-it notes
- 18" x 24" cutting mat (OLFA or Creative Grids preferred – this will be discussed)
- 6" x 24" or larger long ruler
- 12 1/2" or larger square ruler
- (Second class) 505 spray
- Lamplighter pattern (20% off with class)
Fabrics
- Pack of 40 5" charm squares
- 1 meter of lattice fabric (this should be a tone-on-tone or more solid print)
- 1 meter of main fabric (this could be a more busy print)
- 50 cm binding fabric
- 250m 100% cotton thread to blend with the fabrics

- 1.2m 96" wide batting
- Backing: 60" wide - Fireside recommended 1.6 m
